Before starting, both the pump and the suction hose must be filled with water. The pump is driven by the tractor's power take-off shaft at 540 rpm, transmitted through the included PTO shaft to a gearbox with a 6.67:1 ratio.
The unit is mounted on a steel, painted frame with a three-point hitch, and a frame extension can be installed depending on the tractor. The gearbox requires SAE 90 gear oil, while the power take-off shaft requires lithium grease. A tractor with power from 15 to 125 HP is required for operation.
