Description
PC-20P - pressure booster machine with 1¼" connection
PC-20P by IBO is an electronic pressure booster that independently controls the operation of the pump and maintains constant water pressure in the installation. It is equipped with thicker 1¼" connections, making it suitable for installations with higher flow. It supports more powerful single-phase pumps and can automatically resume operation after a water outage. It replaces a traditional pressure switch, independently controlling the pump activation.
For whom
- Installers and plumbers - 1¼" connections facilitate installation in installations with larger pipe cross-sections, and ready-made wiring reduces connection time.
- Home owners with their own water intake - the machine maintains the pressure and automatically resumes pump operation after a temporary lack of water.
- Users of more powerful single-phase pumps - the device supports pumps with higher power consumption than basic machines.
- Installations with higher flow - thicker connections reduce resistance in the water path.
Application
PC-20P works well in home and utility water installations powered by a single-phase, surface or deep-well pump, especially where pipes with a larger cross-section are used. It reacts to the actual water consumption, so water is available immediately after turning on the tap or opening the sprinklers. Support for pumps with current consumption up to 16 A allows it to be used with more powerful pump sets.
The device works with clean water without mechanical impurities. Installation takes place on the discharge side of the pump, in a vertical position. In a single-phase installation with a higher flow, the PC-20P 230 V pressure booster automatic device recognizes water consumption based on pressure and flow, so it does not activate the pump unnecessarily in the event of minor leaks.
Features of the PC-20P machine
The operation of the PC-20P pump is determined by the pressure in the installation and the water flow in the pipe. After detecting a lack of water, it stops the pump and signals the failure by flashing the Status LED. If the user does not start the pump manually, the machine automatically tries again every hour until normal flow is restored or the power is disconnected. The first start-up and manual resumption of operation are performed using the RESET button.
The most important feature that distinguishes the PC-20P from the basic PC-10P are the 1¼" connections, which are better suited to installations with higher flow. The device has a built-in non-return valve to prevent water from flowing back into the pump, and LEDs indicate the pump status - power supply, operation and possible failure. PC-20P supports single-phase pumps with a current consumption of up to 16 A, which corresponds to motors with a power of up to 2.2 kW. They are installed on the discharge side of the pump, between it and the first water receiver.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – PC-20P machine
What is the PC-20P machine used for?
PC-20P is a hydrophore machine that independently controls the pump and maintains constant water pressure. The pump starts when someone turns on the tap and stops when the intake is closed. Thanks to 1¼" connections, it works well in installations with higher flow.
What pumps does the PC-20P work with?
The machine supports single-phase pumps with a current consumption of up to 16 A, which corresponds to motors with a power of up to 2.2 kW, with a 230 V power supply. It is suitable for surface and deep-well pumps operating with clean water without mechanical impurities.
What is the difference between PC-20P and PC-10P?
The PC-20P has thicker 1¼" connections that are better suited to higher flow installations, while PC-10P has 1" connections and a built-in pressure gauge. The electrical parameters of both models are the same. You will find both in the category drivers.
What is the automatic restart in PC-20P?
After detecting a lack of water, the machine stops the pump and signals it by flashing the diode. If the user does not start the pump manually, the device will try again every hour until the water returns. Thanks to this, the installation can return to operation without the presence of the user.
Does PC-20P protect the pump against dry running?
Yes. When there is no water, the machine stops the pump, which protects it against overheating and damage. The pump can be started manually by pressing the RESET button or waiting for automatic restart.
Where to buy the PC-20P machine?
