OP 40 - oil pump
The IBO OP 40 oil pump is a self-priming displacement device, powered by 12 V DC from a battery installation. It is used to pump diesel, heating oil and bio-diesel and works wherever there is no access to a 230 V network. Thermal protection in the motor winding and a by-pass overflow valve protect the pump during operation.
For whom
- Transport companies – Power supply 12 V allows you to refuel and pump fuel directly from your vehicle or trailer.
- Agricultural farms - the pump facilitates the transfer of diesel oil from barrels and tanks to machines in the field without access to mains electricity.
- Mobile workshops and services - a portable 12 V device is suitable for servicing equipment in places without 230 V installations.
- Fuel tank users – the self-priming design allows for convenient emptying and filling of oil tanks.
Application
The OP 40 pump is used to pump diesel oil, heating oil, bio-diesel and other liquids with lubricating properties that do not corrode steel. It is used for filling and emptying tanks, barrels and vehicle tanks, and the possibility of powering it from a 12 V battery makes it a mobile solution, ready to work outside the range of the electrical network.
The device sucks liquid from a depth of up to 5 m, making it suitable for pumping fuel between tanks placed at different levels. The suction end is equipped with a non-return valve with a basket, and the system is filled with oil before the first start-up. The OP 40 oil pump is a handy tool for everyday work with fuels in transport and agriculture.
Features of the OP 40 pump
OP 40 is a self-priming displacement vane pump designed for pumping fuels and liquids with lubricating properties. The motor is powered by 12 V DC from the battery installation, and the thermal protection built into the winding protects it against overheating. A by-pass overflow valve protects the pump when pumping resistance is too high.
The pump is not intended for liquids that corrode steel, such as water, or for flammable and explosive liquids, such as gasoline. The oil should be free from solid abrasive contaminants. Before starting, it is necessary to fill the suction pipe and the hydraulic part of the pump with oil.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – OP 40 oil pump
What is the OP 40 pump used for?
The OP 40 pump by IBO is used to pump diesel, heating and biodiesel oil and other liquids with lubricating properties. It is used to fill and empty tanks, barrels and vehicle tanks.
How does OP 40 differ from 230 V pumps?
OP 40 is powered by 12 V DC from the battery installation, so it works independently of the electricity network. This is a mobile solution, designed to work directly next to vehicles and in the field, unlike AOP pumps powered by 230 V.
What liquids cannot be pumped with the OP 40 pump?
The oil pump must not be used for liquids that corrode steel, especially water, as this will cause it to become blocked. It is also prohibited to pump flammable and explosive liquids, such as gasoline.
How to start the pump properly after connecting?
Before starting for the first time, thoroughly fill the suction pipe and the hydraulic part of the pump with oil through the fill plug. Starting the pump without filling it with oil leads to dry operation and damage to the pumping elements.
Where can you buy the OP 40 pump?
As a manufacturer, we do not sell directly. The IBO OP 40 oil pump can be purchased from our trading partners, installation wholesalers and authorized online distributors.
