Application
submersible pump KRAKEN 1800 is intended for pumping raw sewage, faeces and dirty water that does not contain grinding elements such as sand. The pump is used to pump sewage from home septic tanks and to drain flooded rooms, houses and garages, and is also often used in home sewage pumping stations.
The multi-channel disc grinder reduces the risk of pump blockage to a minimum. The device operates in a vertical position, with a horizontal outlet, with a maximum density of the pumped medium of up to 1100 kg/m³ and a maximum liquid temperature of up to 35°C.
Features of the KRAKEN 1800 pump
The KRAKEN 1800 pump is made of AISI 304 stainless steel motor housing, so it does not corrode in constant contact with sewage. The pump body and impeller are made of gray cast iron, the cutting knife is made of gray cast iron and AISI 304 stainless steel, and the shaft is made of AISI 304 stainless steel.
In the 230 V version, the float switch automatically controls the pump operation and provides basic protection against dry running; in the 400 V version, control is provided by external equipment, selected separately for the installation. Thermal protection built into the winding protects the motor against overheating.

How does the pump protect itself against dry running?
