IBO KBFU AUTO 50-2.2 sludge pump with agitator, 400 V
The KBFU AUTO 50-2.2 is a three-phase automatic sludge pump with a power rating of 2.2 kW, powered by 400 V and equipped with a chromium-alloy agitator and a built-in control system with a level sensor. Compared with the 50-1.5 model, it offers a higher head (25 m) and greater power while retaining the compact DN 2" connection—an ideal choice for automatic pumping stations requiring slightly higher hydraulic performance.
Who is it for?
-
Property managers with collection wells – the higher 2.2 kW power allows water to be discharged through longer or higher-positioned discharge pipelines without giving up full automation.
-
Construction companies with deeper excavations – a 25 m head and automatic operation with a level sensor eliminate the need to operate the pump during the daily inflow of groundwater.
-
Mines and extraction plants – the agitator and permissible particle size of up to 10 mm enable automatic operation even with dense sludge containing abrasive elements.
-
Drainage system installers – the DN 2" connection in a vertical or horizontal configuration and built-in automation simplify installation in typical collection wells.
-
Industrial plants with smaller pumping stations – compact dimensions and full automation are suitable for installations with limited space.
Applications
The IBO KBFU AUTO series is designed to drain water from construction sites, mines, and quarries automatically, without constant operator supervision. A level sensor built into the control system monitors the fill level of the sump and automatically starts or stops the pump. The chromium-alloy agitator actively breaks up mineral suspensions at the inlet, enabling the pumping of media containing particles up to 10 mm in size that would block standard KBFU series models.
A key design element is the cooling jacket surrounding the motor. Thanks to it, the pump does not need to be fully immersed in the pumped medium to maintain a safe operating temperature—the motor is cooled through the jacket wall even when the liquid level in the tank is very low. The double mechanical seal SiC-SiC / Carbon-SiC ensures tightness during prolonged operation in difficult conditions.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – KBFU AUTO 50-2.2 sludge pump
When should you choose the KBFU AUTO 50-2.2 instead of the 50-1.5 T?
The 50-2.2 model is the right choice when the installation requires lifting water more than 20 m or when the discharge pipeline is long and generates greater hydraulic resistance. For similar applications with lower pressure requirements, the 50-1.5 T model is fully sufficient—and will be cheaper to operate.
Why is a level sensor better than a float switch?
A conventional float switch is a mechanical component with moving parts, vulnerable to cable entanglement, blockage by sediment, and mechanical damage in difficult conditions. The level sensor used in the KBFU AUTO series has a closed, sealed design with no external moving parts—it is more resistant to sludge and does not require additional space in the well.
How can I protect the pump from particles and stones that are too large?
The pump itself has perforations at the inlet, which provide the first barrier against larger particles. When operating in environments with stones or coarse debris, it is worth additionally using a submersible pump basket—a metal guard shaped like a basket with small perforations that fits directly onto the pump and effectively filters what enters the inlet. Alternatively, a protective mesh with openings smaller than 10 mm secured around the pump works well. Both solutions are inexpensive, easy to install, and significantly extend the device’s service life when operating in contaminated areas.
Where can I buy the IBO KBFU AUTO 50-2.2 pump?
The pump is available from Dambat’s trade partners, plumbing wholesalers, and specialist technical stores. Dambat does not sell directly.
