Application
The IBO KBFU AUTO 100-3.7 is designed for the automatic pumping of sludge and heavily contaminated water at high volumetric capacity. The level sensor built into the control system automatically starts and stops the pump according to the filling level of the sump, without operator intervention. The chrome-alloy agitator breaks up mineral suspensions at the inlet, enabling the pumping of media containing particles up to 10 mm, which would clog standard KBFU series models.
A key design feature is the cooling jacket surrounding the motor. Thanks to it, the pump does not need to be completely submerged in the pumped medium to maintain a safe operating temperature. The double SiC-SiC / SiC-SiC mechanical seal provides enhanced tightness and durability during long-term automatic operation—particularly important in permanent installations where the pump operates continuously throughout the season.

With the same power rating of 3.7 kW, the 100-3.7 model offers a capacity of 1550 l/min compared with 1050 l/min for the 80 model—that is almost 50% higher flow. The trade-off is lower head (18 vs. 30 m) and no option to install the outlet horizontally—DN 4" is vertical only. If flow is the priority in the installation, choose the 100-3.7; if pressure is more important, choose the 80-3.7 T.
Can the KBFU AUTO 100-3.7 replace two smaller AUTO pumps?
In many cases, yes—the 1550 l/min capacity with automation and DN 4" connection can replace two KBFU AUTO 50 pumps operating in parallel. This simplifies the installation, reduces service costs, and eliminates the need to synchronize the operation of two devices. One pump also means one potential failure point instead of two.
