IBO KBFU 80-2.2 400 V submersible sludge pump
The KBFU 80-2.2 is a three-phase sludge pump with a power rating of 2.2 kW, supplied with 400 V and capable of a maximum head of 26 m. Among the KBFU series models with a 2" connection, it offers the highest discharge pressure and is intended for installations where water must be pumped to a considerable height or through a long discharge pipeline.
Who is it for?
-
Construction companies carrying out deep excavations – the 26 m head makes it possible to remove water from deeper foundations without the need for additional intermediate pumps.
-
Industrial and mining plants – the 400 V three-phase power supply and continuous-duty operation ensure stable, long-term performance in demanding conditions.
-
Installers and designers of drainage systems – the combination of a 26 m head and a capacity of 600 l/min makes it possible to precisely match the pump to the system’s requirements.
-
Municipal utility companies – the robust cast-iron construction with a wear-resistant coating reduces servicing costs during intensive operation.
-
Rescue teams – the high head is useful when removing water from flooded multi-story buildings or through long hose runs.
Applications
The IBO KBFU series is designed to remove water from construction sites, mines, and quarries – wherever the pumped medium contains sand, sludge, or fine aggregate that damages standard centrifugal pumps. The durable cast-iron hydraulic unit and impeller coated with a wear-resistant chromium alloy withstand demanding operating conditions, reducing the risk of unplanned downtime and servicing costs. The vertical discharge direction simplifies installation in narrow collection sumps and confined excavations where operating space is limited.
A key design element is the cooling jacket surrounding the motor. Thanks to it, the pump does not need to be completely submerged in the pumped medium to maintain a safe operating temperature – the motor is cooled through the jacket wall even when the water level in the excavation is already very low. This is a significant advantage during the final stage of dewatering, when a standard pump without a jacket would have to be switched off. Thermal protection built into the motor winding provides an additional layer of protection against overheating during prolonged continuous operation.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – KBFU 80-2.2 sludge pump
What is the difference between the KBFU 50-2.2 M and the KBFU 80-2.2?
Both models have the same 2.2 kW power rating, but they differ in power supply and capacity. The M model operates at 230 V (single-phase) and achieves a capacity of 800 l/min, while the T model is supplied with 400 V (three-phase) and offers a higher head – 26 m compared with 23 m. The M version is chosen where access to a three-phase network may be unavailable, while the T version is used wherever stable continuous operation and higher discharge pressure are the priorities.
How do I connect a discharge hose to the KBFU 80-2.2 pump?
The 2" discharge connection is threaded, so the discharge hose can be connected using a hose clamp or quick coupling, without specialist tools. The outlet points vertically, making it easier to route the hose upward when installing the pump in a narrow excavation or sump.
What contaminants can the KBFU 80-2.2 handle?
The pump is suitable for pumping water containing particles up to 5 mm in diameter, including sand, sludge, and fine aggregate. The cast-iron impeller coated with a wear-resistant chromium alloy ensures durability in heavily contaminated media.
Where can I buy the IBO KBFU 80-2.2 pump?
The pump is available from Dambat’s commercial partners, installation wholesalers, and specialist technical stores throughout Poland. Dambat does not sell directly.
How long is the warranty for the KBFU 80-2.2?
IBO – 24-month (2-year) manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty and post-warranty servicing is provided by Dambat, Adamów 50, Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
