IBO KBFU 50-2.2 400 V submersible slurry pump
The KBFU 50-2.2 is a three-phase slurry pump with a power rating of 2.2 kW, powered by 400 V and offering a head of up to 26 m. Among the KBFU series models with a 2" connection, it provides the highest discharge pressure and is intended for installations where water must be pumped to a considerable height or through a long discharge pipeline.
Who it is for
-
Construction companies carrying out deep excavations – the 26 m head makes it possible to pump water out of deeper foundations without the need for additional intermediate pumps.
-
Industrial and mining plants – the 400 V three-phase power supply and continuous-duty operation ensure stable, long-term performance in difficult conditions.
-
Installers and designers of drainage systems – the combination of a 26 m head and a capacity of 600 l/min makes it possible to precisely match the pump to the installation requirements.
-
Municipal utilities – the robust cast-iron construction with a wear-resistant coating reduces service costs during intensive operation.
-
Rescue teams – the high head is useful for draining water from flooded multi-storey buildings or through long hose runs.
Application
The IBO KBFU series is designed for draining water from construction sites, mines and quarries – wherever the pumped medium contains sand, slurry or fine aggregate that damages standard centrifugal pumps. The durable cast-iron hydraulic unit and impeller coated with a wear-resistant chromium alloy withstand demanding operating conditions, reducing the risk of unplanned downtime and service costs. The vertical discharge direction facilitates installation in narrow collection sumps and confined excavations where operating space is limited.
A key design element is the cooling jacket surrounding the motor. Thanks to it, the pump does not have to be completely submerged in the pumped medium to maintain a safe operating temperature – the motor is cooled through the jacket wall even when the water level in the excavation is already very low. This is a significant advantage during the final stage of drainage, when a standard pump without a jacket would have to be switched off. The thermal protection built into the motor winding provides an additional layer of protection against overheating during prolonged continuous operation.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – KBFU 50-2.2 slurry pump
What is the difference between the KBFU 50-2.2 M and the KBFU 50-2.2?
Both models have the same power rating of 2.2 kW, but they differ in power supply and capacity. The M model operates at 230 V (single-phase) and achieves a capacity of 800 l/min, while the model is powered by 400 V (three-phase) and offers a higher head – 26 m compared with 23 m. The M version is chosen where the lack of access to a three-phase power supply may be an obstacle, while the other version is selected wherever stable continuous operation and higher discharge pressure are the priorities.
How do I connect a discharge hose to the KBFU 50-2.2 pump?
The 2" discharge connection is threaded, so the discharge hose can be connected using a hose clamp or quick coupling – without specialist tools. The outlet is directed vertically, making it easier to route the hose upward when installing the pump in a narrow excavation or sump.
What contaminants can the KBFU 50-2.2 handle?
The pump is designed to handle water containing particles up to 5 mm in diameter, including sand, slurry and fine aggregate. The cast-iron impeller coated with a wear-resistant chromium alloy ensures durability in heavily contaminated media.
Where can I buy the IBO KBFU 50-2.2 pump?
The pump is available from Dambat's commercial partners, plumbing wholesalers and specialist technical stores throughout Poland. Dambat does not sell directly.
What is the warranty period for the KBFU 50-2.2?
IBO – 24 months (2 years) manufacturer's warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat, Adamów 50, Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
