IBO KBFU 50-2.2 230 V submersible slurry pump
The KBFU 50-2.2 is the most powerful single-phase model in the KBFU series – a 2.2 kW slurry pump powered by 230 V, with a capacity of 800 l/min and a head of up to 23 m. The model is designed for intensive, long-term dewatering work wherever high capacity is required but access to a three-phase power supply is limited.
Who it is for
-
Construction companies carrying out deep excavations – the 23 m head makes it possible to pump water out of deep foundations without additional intermediate pumps.
-
Mining plants and quarries – a capacity of 800 l/min with single-phase power is a rare combination in the slurry pump segment.
-
Rescue teams and fire departments – quick connection to a standard 230 V socket and high capacity shorten response times after flooding.
-
Investors and developers – one model replaces two smaller pumps when dewatering extensive foundation slabs.
-
Wholesalers and distributors of technical equipment – the top single-phase model in the KBFU series complements the range in the professional dewatering pump segment.
Applications
The KBFU series is designed to remove water from construction sites, mines, and quarries – wherever the pumped medium contains sand, sludge, or fine aggregate that damages standard centrifugal pumps. The durable cast-iron hydraulic unit and impeller coated with a highly abrasion-resistant chromium alloy withstand harsh operating conditions, reducing the risk of unplanned downtime and service costs. The vertical outlet direction facilitates installation in narrow collection wells and confined excavations where operating space is limited.
A key design element is the cooling jacket surrounding the motor. Thanks to it, the pump does not need to be completely submerged in the pumped medium to maintain a safe operating temperature – the motor is cooled through the jacket wall even when the water level in the excavation is already very low. This is a significant advantage during the final stage of dewatering, when a standard pump without a jacket would have to be switched off. Thermal protection built into the motor winding provides an additional layer of protection against overheating during long-term continuous operation.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – KBFU 50-2.2 slurry pump
What sets the KBFU 50-2.2 apart from other single-phase pumps?
The KBFU 50-2.2 is the highest-power model in the single-phase range of the KBFU series – 2.2 kW with a 230 V power supply. Its capacity of 800 l/min and head of 23 m place it on a par with many three-phase pumps while retaining the simplicity of connection to a standard single-phase power supply.
For what excavation depths is the KBFU 50-2.2 suitable?
The maximum head is 23 m, allowing water to be pumped out of excavations up to approximately 18–20 m deep, accounting for typical pressure losses in the discharge hose. For exceptionally deep excavations, we recommend contacting Dambat's technical department to select the appropriate model.
Does the KBFU 50-2.2 pump require complete submersion?
No – the cooling jacket maintains a safe motor temperature even when the water level is very low. The pump can operate through the final stage of dewatering without the risk of overheating.
Where is the IBO KBFU 50-2.2 pump available?
The model is available through Dambat's distribution network – from authorized trade partners, installation wholesalers, and specialist technical stores. Dambat does not sell directly.
What is the warranty period for the KBFU 50-2.2?
IBO – 24-month (2-year) manufacturer's warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat, Adamów 50, Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
