IBO KBFU 150-7.5 400 V Submersible Sludge Pump
The KBFU 150-7.5 is a three-phase sludge pump with a power rating of 7.5 kW, supplied with 400 V and featuring a DN 6" connection and a capacity of 2,080 l/min. The largest model in the KBFU series, its six-inch connection and flow rate of over 2,000 l/min make it suitable for industrial applications where no smaller model in the series can provide the required capacity.
Who it is for
-
Construction and infrastructure companies – the DN 6" connection and capacity of 2,080 l/min enable rapid drainage of extensive areas with large catchment surfaces.
-
Large-scale mines and extraction plants – the largest model in the KBFU series, designed for applications requiring the continuous pumping of over 2,000 l/min of mineral slurry.
-
Companies carrying out port, river and hydraulic engineering projects – the large connection and high capacity are key parameters for large-scale regulation and drainage works.
-
Industrial plants with large fixed installations – the model is suitable for permanent industrial pumping-station systems with the highest throughput requirements.
-
Engineers designing large drainage systems – one DN 6" pump replaces two or three smaller units, simplifying the design and reducing the number of service points.
Application
The KBFU series is designed to remove water from construction sites, mines and quarries – wherever the pumped medium contains sand, sludge and other mechanical contaminants. The KBFU 150-7.5 is the top model in this series, intended for facilities and projects where the scale of drainage exceeds the capabilities of smaller units. The DN 6" connection enables the use of pipelines with very high capacity, minimizing pressure losses at high flow rates.
A key design element is the cooling jacket surrounding the motor. Thanks to it, the pump does not have to be completely submerged in the pumped medium to maintain a safe operating temperature – the motor is cooled through the jacket wall even when the water level in the excavation is already very low. Thermal protection built into the motor winding provides an additional layer of protection against overheating during long-term continuous operation.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – KBFU 150-7.5 sludge pump
When is it worth buying one KBFU 150-7.5 instead of two smaller pumps?
One DN 6" pump means simpler wiring, one service point and one control cabinet instead of two. With a comparable total capacity, the KBFU 150-7.5 generates lower operating costs and reduces the risk of failures resulting from the need to synchronize two devices. For fixed installations, this is often the decisive argument.
What most often damages sludge pumps of this class, and how can it be avoided?
For pumps of this power, the greatest risk is dry running – when the liquid level falls below the inlet, the motor overheats despite the cooling jacket. For fixed installations, we strongly recommend an external level sensor or float switch that will stop the pump before the critical level is reached. Another common problem is pumping particles exceeding the permitted size – this blocks the impeller and overloads the motor.
Which discharge pipelines are compatible with the KBFU 150-7.5?
The discharge outlet has a DN 6" thread. Using DN 6" discharge pipelines and hoses allows the pump’s full capacity to be utilized. Reducing the diameter will significantly increase pressure losses and restrict the flow – with a pump of this class, this is particularly noticeable.
Where can I buy the IBO KBFU 150-7.5 pump?
The model is available from Dambat sales partners, installation wholesalers and specialist technical stores. Due to the device’s size and weight, we recommend contacting the distributor in advance to arrange delivery logistics. Dambat does not sell directly.
