Kappa pumps are capable of pumping water containing abrasive sand and clay particles, shavings and other potentially abrasive suspensions found on rocky surfaces, construction sites and mines. Kappa series pumps are built with high-quality components such as hardened stainless steel, nitrile rubber and aluminum alloy connections. This guarantees excellent resistance to wear over time. Protective devices present throughout the range reduce any damage caused by overheating. High hydraulic efficiency and low weight allow for versatile and effective use of Kappa pumps.  The undoubted advantages of Kappa pumps are a hydraulic impeller made of hardened steel with a hardness of 55-60 HRC (the cast iron impeller is available only in the K055-K075 versions), a rubber-covered pump body that reflects sand and other abrasive particles, significantly extending the pump's life, and cooling of the pumped liquid flowing through the body.
