The heart of the set is a single-stage, self-priming centrifugal pump designed for pumping technically clean, cold untreated water from private water sources and for increasing pressure in the water intake and delivery system. The IWH 3-04 pump is built with an AISI 304 stainless steel housing, shaft and intermediate wall, providing corrosion resistance when handling technically clean water. The impeller made of AISI 316 stainless steel further increases corrosion resistance, including when the water has an elevated chloride content, while the PPO polymer diffuser reduces the unit’s weight without compromising strength. The ceramic/graphite/NBR mechanical seal prevents leaks at the motor shaft.
The motor has built-in thermal protection in the winding, protecting the pump against overheating during extended continuous operation. In addition to the standard pump-and-tank configuration, it is also possible to configure the pump with pressure booster controllers from the PC series (PC-10P, PC-13, PC-15, PC-16, PC-59), the SK series (SK15), or with the electronic Multi Press 2 pressure switch. These controllers provide additional dry-run protection.
