Description
Our intelligent IVR 03 pump controller is a control and safety device for direct connection of surface pumps, submersible pumps, etc. Maintaining a constant, set water pressure by changing the speed of the pump motor. The IVR 03 inverter uses SPWM (sinusoidal pulse width modulation) and high-efficiency space vector technology using V/F VVVF (variable speed, variable frequency) control. Thanks to real-time pressure analysis, the inverter adjusts the pump speed to the current system demand. Variable pump speed stabilizes the pressure, which significantly saves water and electricity consumption.
Device purpose and installation requirements
The IVR 03 device is intended for use in water systems and must be installed only by persons with appropriate technical qualifications. The manufacturer stipulates that the device is not intended for use by end users without the involvement of an installer. Due to the possibility of electromagnetic emissions, the manufacturer recommends using shielded cables, appropriate grounding and network filters in accordance with the requirements of the EN 61800-3 standard. The product is not a household appliance and is not intended for self-installation in such an environment. When used in a domestic environment, the following is required:
- cable shielding,
- using input and output filters,
- compliance of the installation with environmental guidelines 1. (EN 61800-3).
The manufacturer is not responsible for interference resulting from incorrect installation that does not take into account the above guidelines. The most important features that distinguish IVR 03 from popular on/off control devices:
- Increasing energy efficiency. Compared with the traditional way, the constant pressure water supply system with frequency converter saves energy by 30%-60%.
- Long-term pump reliability: average torque and shaft wear are reduced due to the decrease in average rotational speed, ensuring longer pump life. The soft-start and stop function of the device allows you to eliminate water hammer (a sudden increase in pressure accompanying a quick stop or start of liquid flow).
- Comprehensive protection: the system has the most comprehensive protection technology for overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuit, blocked rotors, the ability to protect the pump against dry running without the need to install probes/sensors in the well.
- Advanced technology: PID algorithm control, technology addressed to pump drive control.
APPLICATION
The IVR 03-030 T model will work wherever there is a need to maintain constant water pressure in the installation and to control and protect a pump or a set of two pumps.
Expected typical use:
- water supply from wells,
- irrigation of greenhouses, gardens, fields,
- collecting and using rainwater,
- water supply installations,
-
industrial equipment.

Recommendations for installation and operation of the inverter
To ensure proper operation of the device and avoid operational disruptions, please follow the rules below:
- The cable length between the inverter and the motor should not exceed 5 meters unless additional protection measures are used.
- It is not recommended to use the inverter with submersible pumps, where the power cord is usually much longer. In such cases, additional technical solutions are required, such as:
- output filters (sine or dv/dt),
- ferrite rings on wires,
- shielded cable with proper grounding.
- The inverter should not be installed near devices that are particularly sensitive to electrical noise, such as PLC controllers, control panels, alarm systems.
Additional information
The device is intended for standard installations with a short section of cable between the inverter and the motor.
Use in non-standard installations, such as deep well pumps, systems with very long cables or Power supply from a network with unstable parameters, may cause disruptions in the operation of the inverter or lead to its damage.
In such cases, prior consultation with a qualified installer is recommended. Installations that do not comply with the above recommendations may result in the inability to provide technical and service support.
