Applications
The IP range of submersible pumps is designed for pumping clean and slightly contaminated water free of abrasive particles such as sand. The pumps are used to drain flooded rooms, basements, garages, swimming pools, and sumps, as well as to transfer water from ponds, rivers, and surface tanks.
The devices operate in a vertical position, fully submerged, at a maximum pumped-liquid temperature of 35°C. The permitted size of soft solid contaminants is 30 mm, allowing operation in slightly contaminated water without the risk of impeller blockage. The IP 230 V submersible pump is suitable both for domestic applications and for service work requiring the device to be moved quickly.
Features of the IP range
IP-series pumps feature a technopolymer housing, while the motor shaft and rotor are made of AISI 304 stainless steel. The PPO polymer impeller and SiC/graphite mechanical seal provide resistance to typical contaminants found in raw and slightly contaminated water.
The integrated float switch automatically switches the pump on and off depending on the water level, also providing basic protection against dry running. Thermal protection built into the winding protects the motor from overheating, while the threaded, stepped discharge outlet enables connection of hoses with different diameters.
