Description
Who it's for
- Rainwater tank owners - we provide automatic tank emptying controlled by a level sensor, without having to switch on the pump manually.
- Fish pond owners - the filter in the base helps protect small fish from being drawn into the pump.
- Users working with seawater - the dual seal, PPO polymer housing and stainless steel shaft make the pump suitable for use in salt water.
- Installers and service companies - we make selection easier with clear operating specifications, a 1" outlet and a simple base configuration.
- Facilities with technical tanks - the ability to pump water down to 1 mm reduces the amount of water left in the tank.
Applications
- Emptying storage and technical tanks, and periodically lowering the water level in them.
- Pumping rainwater from retention tanks.
- Pumping clean technical fresh and seawater.
- Operation in fish ponds with the filter installed in the base.
- Pumps clean water down to a level of 1 mm with the base removed.
The IP 370 SEA 230 V submersible pump operates automatically, controlled by a water level sensor.
Features, description and technical specifications
The IBO IP 370 SEA is a submersible pump for clean technical, fresh and seawater. In designing it, we used a dual shaft seal system - mechanical and lip seals - to protect the motor and internal components from contact with the pumped water. We confirmed the seal's durability in a 3,500-hour continuous operation test.
Automatic water level control
We have equipped the pump with an external electronic level sensor that detects the limit levels and automatically switches the pump on and off. The sensor is placed next to the pump, on the same surface. When the water drops to the switch-off level, the pump stops after a 10-second delay.
- With the filter base and float adapter: switches on at approx. 3.5 cm and switches off at approx. 2 cm.
- Without the base and float adapter: switches on at approx. 1.5 cm, runs down to approx. 1 cm and pumps water down to a level of 1 mm.
The filter base is attached by twisting and protects the pump from sucking in larger contaminants. Operation without the base, and therefore without the filter, is permitted only in clean water. Clean the filter regularly by rinsing it under running water.
Operating parameters
- Maximum head: 7 m; maximum flow rate: 100 l/min (6 m³/h). According to the performance curve, at a head of approx. 5 m the pump delivers approx. 50 l/min.
- Motor power: 370 W; power supply: 230 V / 50 Hz; current draw: 1.8 A; capacitor: 8 µF; rotational speed: 2850 rpm.
- Protection rating: IPX8; insulation class: F.
- Discharge outlet: 1"; weight: 4.5 kg.
- Maximum liquid temperature: 35°C; water pH: 6.5–8.5; maximum immersion depth: 5 m.
- Maximum particle size: 1–3 mm; solid content up to 10%, with no abrasive contaminants such as sand or gravel.
Materials
- Pump and motor housing: PPO polymer.
- Impeller: polyamide (PA).
- Shaft: stainless steel.
Installation and operation
Lower and retrieve the pump using a rope attached to the handle - never by the power cable or float switch cable. Secure the discharge hose to the outlet with a clamp; we recommend installing a check valve on the discharge outlet to limit frequent pump starts. The power supply must have a working earth connection and a residual-current device with a trip current of up to 30 mA. The pump must not run dry, with a pressurized water source, or for more than 10 minutes with the discharge side closed. Do not use it to pump wastewater, flammable liquids, oils or water above 35°C, and do not install it where it may freeze. After each use, remove the pump from the tank and rinse it with clean water.
The pump complies with the MD 2006/42/EC, LVD 2014/35/EU and EMC 2014/30/EU directives, as confirmed by the EU Declaration of Conformity included with the user manual.
The pump is designed for pumping technically clean water, including rainwater, stored water and seawater. It is not intended to verify water quality or to treat water for drinking.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – What is the IP 370 SEA submersible pump used for?
What is the IP 370 SEA submersible pump used for?
We designed the IP 370 SEA pump for pumping clean, technically pure fresh and seawater – for emptying tanks, pumping rainwater, and use in fish ponds. The level sensor switches the pump on and off automatically.
Why is the IP 370 SEA pump suitable for seawater?
The pump has a double shaft seal, comprising mechanical and lip seals. Its housing is made of PPO polymer, the impeller of polyamide, and the shaft of stainless steel. The seal’s durability was confirmed in a 3,500-hour continuous operation test.
What should I consider when choosing the IBO IP 370 SEA pump?
The pump provides a maximum head of 7 m and a flow rate of 100 l/min. Actual performance decreases with greater pumping height and with longer, narrower hoses. The water temperature must not exceed 35°C, and the water must not contain sand or other abrasive contaminants.
Where can I buy the IP 370 SEA submersible pump manufactured by Dambat?
As a manufacturer, we do not sell directly to customers. The IP 370 SEA submersible pump is available from our trading partners, plumbing wholesalers, and authorized online distributors.
How do I pump water down to a level of 1 mm?
Remove the base with the filter by turning it to the left, and remove the float adapter. Place the float next to the pump on the same surface. Operation without the filter is permitted only in clean water.
How do I maintain the IP 370 SEA pump?
The filter in the base should be cleaned regularly under running water, and the pump should be removed from the tank and rinsed with clean water after each use. Always disconnect the power supply before carrying out any maintenance, and store the pump in a dry room.
What warranty does the IP 370 SEA pump have?
IBO – 24 months (2 years) manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat.
