Application
Pump Sludge IBX z float switch is intended for pumping water contaminated by abrasive materials, such as sand and silt, while maintaining a compact design. It is mainly used in single-family construction for drainage of excavations, ditches and construction sites.
The pump is also suitable for draining water from flooded rooms, houses, garages and premises, and for pumping rainwater and surface water from ponds, lakes and rivers. Thanks to the cooling jacket around the motor, the pump can operate only partially submerged.
Features of the IBX z pump float switch
The pump is made of AISI 304 stainless steel motor housing and body, and the shaft is made of AISI 420SS stainless steel - harder and more abrasion-resistant than standard AISI 304 steel, which is important in constant contact with sand. The semi-open impeller is made of a high-chrome alloy with a wear plate (ductile iron) ensuring excellent durability.
Double thermal protection built into the motor winding protects against overheating, and NSK bearings ensure stable operation under heavy loads. The built-in float switch automatically controls the pump operation and provides basic protection against dry running. The mechanical stuffing box in the SiC/graphite system is resistant to high pressure.

What type of water is the IBX pump intended for?
The pump is intended for water contaminated by abrasive materials such as sand and mud. The permissible size of contamination is 8 mm.
Does the IBX pump have to be completely submerged in water?
No, thanks to the cooling jacket around the motor, the pump can only operate partially submerged because the motor is cooled by the liquid flowing through the jacket and not only by the immediate surroundings.
How does the pump protect itself against dry running?
Protection is provided by a built-in float switch that shuts off Power supply engine when the water level drops below a safe minimum.
How to choose a model from the IBX series?
The choice of model depends on the required lifting height and efficiency - IBX 50-1.5 reaches lifting heights of up to 21 m, and IBX 80-1.5 up to 14 m with higher efficiency and a wider connection. If in doubt, we encourage you to contact the technical department.
