IBX 50-1.5 – sludge pump with float switch
The IBO IBX sludge pump with a float switch was developed for pumping water contaminated with abrasive materials such as sand and silt, while maintaining a compact design. Thanks to the cooling jacket around the motor, the pump can operate while only partially submerged.
Who it is for
-
Construction companies and excavation contractors – the pump is designed to pump water containing sand and silt without rapid wear.
-
Homeowners and property owners – reliable drainage of flooded rooms, houses, and garages.
-
Installation and service companies – the built-in float switch automates pump operation without additional control equipment.
-
Civil engineering companies – the pump is suitable for draining construction sites and ditches, as well as for irrigation.
Applications
The IBX sludge pump with a float switch is designed for pumping water contaminated with abrasive materials such as sand and silt, while maintaining a compact design. It is mainly used in residential construction for draining excavations, ditches, and construction sites.
The pump is also suitable for removing water from flooded rooms, houses, garages, and premises, as well as for pumping rainwater and surface water from ponds, lakes, and rivers. Thanks to the cooling jacket around the motor, the pump can operate while only partially submerged.
Features of the IBX pump with float switch
The pump has a motor housing and body made of AISI 304 stainless steel, while the shaft is made of AISI 420SS stainless steel – harder and more wear-resistant than standard AISI 304 steel, which is important during constant contact with sand. The semi-open impeller is made of a high-chromium alloy with a wear plate (spheroidal graphite cast iron), ensuring excellent durability.
Dual thermal protection built into the motor winding protects against overheating, while NSK bearings ensure stable operation under heavy loads. The built-in float switch automatically controls pump operation and provides basic protection against dry running. The SiC/graphite mechanical seal is resistant to high pressure.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – IBX sludge pump with float switch
What type of water is the IBX pump designed for?
The pump is designed for water contaminated with abrasive materials such as sand and silt. The permitted particle size is 8 mm.
Does the IBX pump have to be completely submerged in water?
No. Thanks to the cooling jacket around the motor, the pump can operate while only partially submerged, because the motor is cooled by liquid flowing through the jacket rather than only by its immediate surroundings.
How does the pump protect against dry running?
Protection is provided by the built-in float switch, which disconnects power to the motor when the water level falls below the safe minimum.
How do you choose a model from the IBX series?
The choice of model depends on the required head and capacity – IBX 50-1.5 achieves a head of up to 21 m, while IBX 80-1.5 reaches up to 14 m with greater capacity and a wider connection. If in doubt, we encourage you to contact the technical department.
Where can I buy an IBX sludge pump?
Dambat does not sell directly. IBX 50-1.5 and IBX 80-1.5 pumps are available from trade partners, installation wholesalers, and authorized online distributors.
What are the warranty terms for the IBX pump?
IBO – 24-month (2-year) manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat.
