IBO IBOMAT API 25/45 – return protection pumping group
IBOMAT API 25/45 is a complete IBO return protection pumping group designed for direct installation on the return pipe of a solid-fuel boiler or a fireplace with a water heat exchanger. The integrated TSV3B thermostatic valve maintains the return water temperature above the condensation threshold, effectively protecting the heat exchanger against low-temperature corrosion and extending the boiler’s service life.

The built-in IPRO API 25-60/180 circulation pump forces the heating medium to circulate, while the integrated TSV3B valve with a thermostatic insert automatically mixes cold return water from the system with hot water from the boiler bypass – without the need for an external balancing valve. The working fluid may be water or a glycol solution with a maximum concentration of 50%.

This automatic flow control eliminates the need to install a separate balancing valve.

These are two separate parameters describing the operation of the TSV3B thermostatic valve. The opening temperature (45°C, 50°C, or 55°C depending on the variant) is the threshold at which the thermostatic insert begins opening the return water inlet from the system. The +5°C control range means that the valve moves smoothly from the fully closed position to the fully open position within a range 5°C above this temperature – for variant 45, this is therefore a range from 45°C to approximately 50°C. When selecting an IBOMAT variant, follow the boiler manufacturer’s requirements regarding the minimum return water temperature.
