IBO-GL-TZ-125-50 wellhead
The IBO wellhead is a cover that hermetically closes the casing pipe of a deep well and allows the discharge pipe and the pump’s power cable to pass through it. Thanks to the gasket clamped onto the casing pipe, it protects the well against the ingress of contaminants and surface water. The series includes two installation variants—TW and TZ—in several sizes suited to typical well installations.
Who is it for?
- Well drillers and drilling companies – watertight closure of the borehole and secure suspension of the pump from the metal eyelet.
- Submersible pump installers – routing the PE pipe and cable through a single sealed passage.
- Owners of private wells – protecting water intakes from surface contaminants.
- Service and maintenance teams – simplified access to the pump and periodic inspection of the well installation.
Applications
The TZ wellhead is used to close the casing pipes of deep wells in which a pump suspended on a rope operates. The discharge pipe exits through the head, and the power cable passes through it, while the entire assembly remains watertight thanks to the compressed seals. A well closed in this way is protected against surface water, groundwater, and foreign bodies.
The watertight closure also allows better use of the capacity of shallower wells—the space between the head and the pump may develop a vacuum that assists water intake as the water level drops. The specific variant depends on the casing pipe diameter, PE pipe diameter, and cable thickness. The IBO TW/TZ wellhead is available in versions suitable for 110 and 125 mm casing pipes.
Features of the TZ wellhead series
The body, base, and head cover are made of glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide (PA6+30GF), a material resistant to loads and conditions inside the well. The seal is an EPDM ring, while the screws, nuts, and eyelet for suspending the pump are made of galvanized steel. Each head has a cable gland ensuring a watertight passage for the power cable, as well as a pass-through for the PE pipe sealed with a gasket.
The series differ in their installation method. The head of the TW series is fitted inside the casing pipe, while the head of the TZ series is placed over the casing pipe from above; the TZ version is additionally equipped with a PE quick connector and a threaded link for suspending the pump. Regardless of the variant, the metal eyelet allows a submersible pump weighing up to 200 kg to be safely suspended.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – what is the TW / TZ wellhead used for?
What is a wellhead used for?
The wellhead hermetically seals the casing pipe of a deep well and guides the discharge pipe and pump cable through it. It protects the well from surface water, groundwater, and contaminants, while the metal eye allows the pump, weighing up to 200 kg, to be safely suspended.
What is the difference between the TW and TZ series?
TW series wellheads are installed inside the casing pipe, while TZ series wellheads are fitted over the casing pipe from above. The TZ version additionally features a PE quick connector and a screw link for suspending the pump. The choice depends on how the casing pipe is finished in the given well.
How do I choose the right wellhead size for my well?
Three parameters must be matched: the diameter of the casing pipe (110 or 125 mm), the diameter of the PE pipe leading to the pump (25, 32, 40, or 50 mm), and the diameter of the power cable (6–10 mm in the TW series, 6–12 mm in the TZ series). The model designation, e.g. IBO-GL-TW-125-40, indicates the series, wellhead diameter, and PE pipe diameter, respectively. If you have any questions, please contact our technical department.
How do I install a wellhead?
The PE pipe is connected to the pump’s discharge outlet, routed through the wellhead, and the cable is passed through the cable gland. The pump is suspended on a cable attached to the wellhead’s eye or link, after which the wellhead is seated in or on the casing pipe and the screws are tightened. Installation should be carried out by a qualified installer with the power disconnected.
Is the wellhead covered by the manufacturer’s warranty?
IBO – 24-month (2-year) manufacturer’s warranty. Dambat provides warranty and post-warranty service.
Where can I buy an IBO TW / TZ wellhead?
As a manufacturer, we do not sell directly. IBO wellheads from the TW and TZ series are available from our commercial partners, plumbing wholesalers, and authorized online distributors.
