IBO-GL-TW-110-40 well head
The IBO well head is a cover that hermetically closes the casing pipe of the deep well and guides the discharge pipe and the pump power cable through it. Thanks to the seal that clamps onto the casing pipe, it protects the well against the ingress of dirt and surface water. The series includes two installation variants - TW and TZ - in several sizes adapted to typical well installations.

Application
The TW well head is used to close the casing pipes of deep wells in which a pump suspended on a cable operates. The pressure pipe is led through the head and the power cable is passed through, and the whole thing remains tight thanks to pressed seals. The well closed in this way is protected against surface water, groundwater and foreign bodies.
Tight closure also allows for better use of the efficiency of shallower wells - a negative pressure may be created between the head and the pump, supporting water intake when the water level drops. The selection of a specific variant depends on the diameter of the casing pipe, the diameter of the PE pipe and the thickness of the cable. The IBO TW/TZ well head is available in versions adapted to 110 and 125 mm casing pipes.
Features of the TW series of well heads
The body, base and head cover are made of glass fiber reinforced polyamide (PA6+30GF) - a material resistant to loads and conditions in the well. The seal is an EPDM ring, and the screws, nuts and eye for hanging the pump are made of galvanized steel. Each head has a cable gland ensuring tight passage of the power cable and a PE pipe passage clamped with a gasket.
The series differ in the method of assembly. The TW series head is placed inside the casing pipe, while the TZ series head is placed on the casing pipe from above; the TZ version is additionally equipped with a PE quick connector and a screwed link for hanging the pump. Regardless of the variant, the metal eye allows for safe hanging submersible pump weighing up to 200 kg.

How to choose the size of a well head?
Three parameters need to be adjusted: the diameter of the casing pipe (110 or 125 mm), the diameter of the PE pipe leading to the pump (25, 32, 40 or 50 mm) and the diameter of the power cable (6–10 mm in the TW series, 6–12 mm in the TZ series). The model designation, e.g. IBO-GL-TW-125-40, indicates the series, head diameter and PE pipe diameter. If in doubt, we encourage you to contact with our technical department.
How to install a well head?
The PE pipe is connected to the pump discharge port, led through the head, and the cable is passed through the gland. The pump is suspended on a rope attached to the eye or link of the head, then the head is placed in or on the casing pipe and the screws are tightened. Installation should be performed by a qualified installer with the power disconnected.
