IBO CLEANER IC-1 is an alkaline descaling agent designed to restore water circulation in new and old central heating systems. The IC-1 liquid effectively removes accumulated hydrogen sulfide from the system, which can cause contamination and corrosion and produce an unpleasant odor when bleeding radiators. It does not cause steel corrosion. The liquid is safe for the system.
The IC-1 liquid is suitable for general use in C.H. systems. Its formula was developed to remove a wide range of contaminants and sludge, significantly reducing the risk of failures and effectively improving the service life and performance of central heating systems. The product is effective and is primarily used to improve the flow in cold and at-risk systems where hot water is unavailable.
Application instructions
To clean the central heating system in accordance with the BS7593:2019 standard, ensure that the IC-1 flushing liquid circulates through the system, with all valves open, for at least one hour. Using an IBO FLUSH 40 or FLUSH 20 pump and heating the system will significantly speed up the cleaning process.
No neutralization procedure is required after cleaning; however, the system must be drained and thoroughly flushed through all drain points. The next recommended step is to protect the system with the IP-1 corrosion inhibitor.
One litre of IC-1 central heating flushing liquid is sufficient to clean a typical domestic central heating system consisting of up to ten radiators. Larger systems will require an additional bottle.
Using the liquid at a higher concentration does not adversely affect the system.
1:100 - 1 litre of liquid per 100 litres of system capacity.
