Version with float switch
The GX grinder pump features a suction-assisted cutting system that enables the maceration of solids. These pumps are used wherever dirty liquid needs to be pumped through relatively small-diameter pipes, often already installed. Applications: domestic sewage, liquids containing solids, and anywhere high pressure is required.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The mechanical and lip seals in the oil chamber ensure proper product operation.
GX Grinder Pump – Advantages
The vacuum-assisted axial cutting system with a hardened steel blade in GX pumps ensures effective maceration of domestic sewage. The blade rotating inside the pump inlet acts like a milling cutter, cutting and shredding everything into small pieces, allowing sewage to be pumped through thin pipes with a diameter as small as DN40. The blade shape and precisely adjustable disc make the risk of waste winding around the rotating components very low. Protrusions on the disc effectively break up the braid that often forms around the blade and is usually the cause of impeller blockage.
GX Grinder Pump Installations
GX pumps are intended for domestic sewage pumping stations and compact pumping stations often located inside buildings. Pumps with an axial solids-grinding system can be successfully installed on coupling feet, such as EASY 3.1 or EASY 3.2, in DRENO BOX pumping stations, or with DUTY 50 coupling feet.
Control of a Domestic Grinder Pump
GX series pumps can be controlled either by a built-in float switch or by an external signal, for example from an M121 or M131 controller (single- or three-phase). For more demanding customers, we can offer advanced control systems with 3, 4, or more float switches, a hydrostatic probe, or a system configured according to the customer's requirements.
FEATURES
• Axial grinding system,
• Hardened steel blades ensure effective cutting of contaminants,
• The oil chamber prevents water from entering the motor directly if the seal behind the impeller is damaged,
• Side flanged outlet with an additional thread enables installation on a coupling foot and easy installation of an elbow connection for flexible hose with a clamp or quick coupling,
• Built-in float switch controls pump operation and protects it against dry running,
• T1-T2 thermal protection built into the motor winding, connected to a dedicated control panel,
• 10 m H07RNF power cable terminated with a starter box,
• Warranty and post-warranty service,
• 24-month warranty.
Special versions for liquid temperatures up to 60°C with the pump fully submerged can be produced to order (not for continuous operation).
