Description
GBV FIX 100 Diaphragm Tank – IPRO Vertical Tank
The IPRO GBV FIX 100 diaphragm vessel is a vertical membrane tank for water supply and pressure-boosting systems. Inside the steel body is a non-replaceable, certified butyl membrane that separates the water from the air cushion, stabilizes system pressure and reduces the frequency of pump starts. The vertical design takes up little floor space.
Who is it for?
- Homeowners with their own water source – the IPRO diaphragm vessel maintains stable tap pressure and reduces the number of pump starts during everyday use.
- Technical room installers – the vertical housing on a plastic base takes up little floor space and makes installation in a boiler room or pump room easier.
- Farms and facilities with higher water consumption – the larger capacities in the series provide a domestic water buffer and reduce pump load.
- Service companies – the certified butyl membrane and stainless steel connection simplify selecting a vessel for drinking water systems.
Application
The GBV FIX 100 diaphragm vessel is designed for water supply and pressure-boosting systems supplied from the mains or from a private water source, where it stabilizes pressure and protects the pump from starting too frequently. The certified butyl membrane allows contact with domestic and drinking water.
The tank is installed vertically and works with surface and submersible pumps, pressure switches and control automation. The GBV FIX 100 diaphragm vessel reduces the effects of water hammer and evens out pressure fluctuations in the system.
GBV FIX diaphragm vessel features – description and technical data
The GBV FIX 100 diaphragm vessel is a vertical membrane tank with a steel body covered with a two-layer epoxy-polyurethane coating. Inside is a non-replaceable butyl membrane with high tensile strength and resistance to high temperatures, while the connection is made of stainless steel. The plastic base reduces the transmission of pump vibrations to the ground.
The membrane separates the water from the compressed air, allowing the system to maintain stable pressure between successive pump operating cycles. The tanks meet the requirements of the PED 2014/68/EU Pressure Equipment Directive and EN 13831.
- Type: diaphragm vessel (membrane tank), vertical

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – GBV IPRO diaphragm vessel
What is the GBV FIX 100 diaphragm vessel used for?
The GBV FIX 100 diaphragm vessel stabilizes pressure in water supply and pressure-boosting systems and reduces the frequency of pump starts. The certified butyl membrane allows contact with domestic and drinking water.
What is the difference between a vertical and a horizontal tank?
A vertical tank is installed upright and takes up less floor space, making it easier to fit in a boiler room or pump room. The horizontal version is lower and often serves as a base for a surface pump.
How do you choose the capacity of a diaphragm vessel?
Capacity is selected according to the pump's output and the required number of starts per hour – the larger the tank, the less frequently the pump starts. If you have any questions, please contact Dambat's technical department.
What is the pre-charge pressure in the vessel, and can it be changed?
The vessels are supplied with factory-set air pre-charge pressure (2–2.5 bar, depending on capacity). This pressure can be adjusted to the pump start pressure using the air valve.
Is the GBV FIX diaphragm vessel suitable for drinking water?
Yes. The butyl membrane is certified for contact with water intended for human consumption, so the vessel can be used in domestic and drinking water systems.
Where can the GBV FIX diaphragm vessel be purchased?
Dambat does not sell directly to consumers. IPRO diaphragm vessels are available from sales partners, plumbing wholesalers and authorized online distributors.
What is the warranty on the GBV FIX diaphragm vessel?
IPRO – 60 months (5 years) manufacturer's warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat.
