The PN-1000 pneumatic level controller is designed to control pump operation according to changes in the level of the pumped liquid. When the liquid level is 5–7.5 cm above the lower edge of the controller, the device starts the pump. When the water reaches the level of the controller’s lower edge, the controller switches off the pump after approximately 5 seconds.
The device consists of a small pressure chamber sealed with a diaphragm connected to an electrical controller. The device can operate in two basic states: power to the pump is available or unavailable. As the water level rises, the pressure in the chamber increases, deforming the diaphragm, which directly actuates the electrical controller. The pressure chamber is connected by a cable to a socket into which the pump plug should be connected, and the
socket should be connected to an external power supply.
