Description
PC-99 – electronic pressure switch with reducer
PC-99 is an electronic pressure switch from IBO that automatically controls the operation of the pump and at the same time limits the pressure at its outlet. The built-in reducer maintains the pressure in a safe range, protecting the installation against the effects of too high pressure, and the dry-running protection protects the pump itself. This machine is intended for installations where stable and controlled water pressure is important.
For whom
- Owners of single-family houses – constant, controlled water pressure in the installation, without manually turning on the pump.
- Overpressure sensitive installations – a built-in reducer limits the pressure at the outlet, protecting pipes, fittings and connected devices.
- Users of wells and their own water intakes – dry-running protection disconnects the pump when there is no water and tries to start it again.
- Installers and plumbers – automatic adaptation to installation and vertical or horizontal installation simplify commissioning.
Application
PC-99 is suitable for home hydrophore installations and pressure maintenance systems supplied from a water supply, well or tank. It is mounted on the discharge pipe, behind the pump, in a vertical or horizontal position. The machine simultaneously controls pressure and flow, turning on the pump when water is drawn in and turning it off when it is finished.
Thanks to the built-in reducer, it is particularly suitable where the pump produces higher pressure than needed in the home installation. The device works only with clean water, without sand and iron compounds. In a typical home system, the PC-99 230 V electronic pressure switch takes over the operation of the pump, starting it when the tap is turned on and stopping it when the water flow is closed.
Features of PC-99
PC-99 combines the functions of a pressure switch with a pressure reducer. It controls the pump based on the pressure and flow in the pipeline, and when you turn off the tap, it stops it while maintaining the pressure. The built-in reducer reduces and stabilizes the pressure at the outlet, limiting the risk of damage to the installation if the pump pressure is too high.
The operating status is indicated by the Power, Pump and Failure LEDs, and the Reset button allows you to manually reset the protection. If there is no water, the automatic device disconnects the pump and restarts it on its own, and after 24 hours of inactivity, it turns it on for 10 seconds to prevent the impeller from being blocked. When you start PC-99 for the first time, it adjusts to the installation, so it does not require extensive configuration.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – PC-99 electronic pressure switch
How does the PC-99 pressure switch work?
PC-99 detects the pressure and flow of water in the pipe on which it is mounted. After opening the tap and the pressure drops, it turns on the pump, and when it is closed, it stops it while maintaining the pressure. When you turn it on for the first time, the machine adjusts to the installation.
What is the built-in pressure reducer in PC-99 used for?
The built-in reducer reduces and stabilizes the pressure at the controller outlet, maintaining it in the range of 2–6 bar. This protects pipes, fittings and connected devices against excessive pressure when the pump produces more pressure than the installation needs. It also increases the comfort of using water.
Does PC-99 protect the pump against dry running?
Yes. When there is no water, PC-99 disconnects the pump, protecting it from damage, and tries to start it again on its own. Additionally, after 24 hours of inactivity, it turns on the pump for 10 seconds to prevent the impeller from clogging.
Is it necessary to add a non-return valve to PC-99?
It is recommended to install the check valve at the pump's water source, rather than between the pump and the controller. A check valve placed immediately upstream of the PC-99 could interfere with flow detection. It is worth checking the pump itself before installing the controller.
What pump does PC-99 work with?
PC-99 works with a pump with a power of up to 2.2 kW at 230 V and up to 1.1 kW at 110 V. The device works only with clean water, without sand and iron compounds that could damage it. The controller is mounted on the discharge pipe, behind the pump.
Where can you buy the PC-99 circuit breaker?
As a manufacturer, we do not sell directly. The IBO PC-99 electronic pressure switch can be purchased from our trading partners, installation wholesalers and authorized online distributors. Full technical data makes it easier to select a device for a specific pump.
What is the warranty for PC-99?
IBO – 24 months (2 years) manufacturer's warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat. If you have any questions about installation or selection, please contact an authorized distributor.
