Description
PC-30P – electronic pump controller
PC-30P is an electronic pump controller from IBO that automatically turns the pump on and off depending on whether you draw water. It maintains constant pressure in the installation, and the built-in sensor and digital display allow you to monitor its operation on an ongoing basis. This is a controller for more powerful systems - it works with a pump with a power of up to 3 kW and protects it against dry running.
For whom
- Owners of single-family houses – the pump turns on by itself when you turn on the tap and turns off when you close it, so the installation works without manual operation.
- Users of wells and tanks – when the water level changes, the protection disconnects the pump before it starts running dry and tries to start it again.
- Farms and facilities with higher consumption – the controller supports pumps with a power of up to 3 kW, so it can cope with installations with higher water demand.
- Installers and electricians – two operating modes and adjustable pressure thresholds allow you to match the PC-30P to a specific pump, including a three-phase pump connected via a contactor.
Application
PC-30P works well in home and commercial hydrophore installations and wherever it is necessary to maintain constant pressure of water drawn from a water supply, well or tank. It is mounted on the discharge pipe, just behind the pump. The device detects the flow and pressure itself, turning the pump on when water is drawn in and turning it off when the water consumption stops.
It only pumps clean water, so it is best suited for domestic and utility installations. After turning off the tap, the pump turns off with a delay of several seconds, which limits too frequent activations. In a typical system, the PC-30P 230 V electronic pump controller takes over full operation of the pump - it starts it when you turn on the tap and stops it when the water stops flowing.
Features of PC-30P
PC-30P controls the pump and operates in two modes, which you switch using buttons on the panel. Flow control mode, set by default, turns the pump on when the tap is opened and the pressure drops, and turns off when the tap is closed. The pressure control mode keeps the pump operating between the set switch-on and switch-off pressure - it is worth adding a pressure tank here.
You connect a single-phase pump with a current of up to 16 A directly to the controller. You can operate a more powerful or three-phase power supply through a contactor whose coil is controlled by the PC-30P - leave this connection to a qualified electrician. The controller itself monitors the pump in several ways: it disconnects it when there is no water and tries to start it again, it reacts to overload and too high pressure, and it blocks it from being turned on too often.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – PC-30P electronic pump controller
How does the PC-30P controller work?
PC-30P detects the pressure and flow of water in the pipe on which it is mounted. When you turn on the tap and the pressure drops, the controller turns on the pump and, after turning it off, turns it off with a delay of several seconds. The current pressure is visible on the digital display at all times.
What is the difference between the two PC-30P operating modes?
Flow Control Mode, set by default, simply turns the pump on when water is needed and turns it off when finished. The pressure control mode maintains the pressure in the set range between the switch-on and switch-off thresholds - in this variant, it is recommended to install a pressure tank that limits the number of pump starts.
Can PC-30P control a three-phase pump?
The PC-30P directly supports single-phase pumps with an operating current of up to 16 A. A three-phase or single-phase pump with higher consumption is connected via a contactor - the controller then controls its coil, and Power supply pump goes through a contactor. This connection should be made by a licensed electrician.
Will PC-30P protect the pump against dry running?
Yes. When there is no water, the PC-30P disconnects the pump before dry running damages it. The controller itself repeats starting attempts, and if the water does not return, it repeats them every 24 hours; the pump can also be turned on manually using the button on the housing.
What pump does the PC-30P work with?
PC-30P works with a pump with a power of up to 3 kW, pumping clean water. To function properly, the pump must produce a pressure higher than the set activation threshold. The controller is mounted on the discharge pipe, behind the pump, before the first tap.
Where can I buy the PC-30P controller?
As a manufacturer, we do not sell directly. You can buy the IBO PC-30P controller from our trading partners, installation wholesalers and authorized online distributors. The selection is facilitated by full technical data in the documentation.
