The DNB series is designed for pumping clear liquids and greywater. The special geometry of the S-Flow impellers enables the pumping of liquids containing suspended solids with short fibers, making them ideal for wastewater treatment plants.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, housed in an oil chamber, guarantees long product life.
Advantages of DNB dirty-water pumps
Dirty water such as rainwater or greywater from showers, washing machines, or washbasins, for example (without solid particles or feces), does not require free-flow impellers because it does not contain elements that could block the flow or become wrapped around the impeller. Therefore, we can use much more efficient impellers than Vortex or open-channel impellers to pump it. DNB dirty-water pumps were specifically designed for high efficiency while maintaining a large passage through the S-Flow impeller channels, yet using relatively low-power electric motors.
Applications of DNB pumps
Highly efficient S-Flow impellers are used in a range of applications, including pumping stations for rainwater, light (grey) wastewater, mechanically pretreated wastewater, process water, slurry, leachate leachate and wastewater treatment plants. DNB electric dirty-water pumps have feet that allow them to stand freely on the ground, as well as a flange for attaching a connection or a DRENO coupling foot elbow of type: A, B or DUTY. The DNB model is available in single-phase and three-phase versions, with or without an integrated float, depending on the control method preferred by the customer.
Control
The DNA wastewater pump is available in four versions combining single-phase or three-phase power with control by an integrated float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps (except versions with an integrated float), we recommend the simple M121 (230V) controllers, as well as M131 (400V). For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control panels: SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNB pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in rainwater, pretreated wastewater, and process-water pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable dewatering pumps for liquids with a high solids content (gravel, sand, and debris). A DNB wastewater pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNB pumps have stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, the DNB comes standard with a 10-meter power cable. They are fully compatible with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY 80 and B4 PN10.
