The DNB series is used for pumping and draining clear liquids and greywater. The special geometry of the S-Flow impellers enables the pumping of liquids containing suspended solids with short fibers, making them ideal for wastewater treatment plants.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in an oil chamber, guarantees a long product service life.
Advantages of DNB dirty-water pumps
Dirty water such as rainwater or greywater from showers, washing machines, or washbasins, for example (without solid fractions or fecal matter), does not require impellers with free-flow passages because it contains no elements that could block or wrap around the flow path. Therefore, much more efficient impellers can be used for pumping it than Vortex or open-channel impellers. DNB dirty-water pumps were specifically designed for high efficiency while maintaining a large passage through the S-Flow impeller channels and using relatively low-power electric motors.
Applications of DNB pumps
Highly efficient S-Flow impellers are used in a wide range of applications, including rainwater pumping stations, light (grey) wastewater, mechanically pretreated wastewater, process water, slurry, leachate and wastewater treatment plants. DNB electric dirty-water pumps have feet that allow them to stand freely on the ground, as well as a flange for attaching a connection or a DRENO coupling foot elbow of type: A, B or DUTY. The DNB model is available in single- and three-phase versions, with or without a built-in float, depending on the customer's preferred control method.
Control
The DNA wastewater pump is available in four versions, combining single- or three-phase power with control by a built-in float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps (except versions with a built-in float), we recommend simple controllers M121 (230V), as well as M131 (400V). For more demanding users and dual-pump stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control panels, including SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNB pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in rainwater, pretreated-wastewater, and process-water pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable drainage pumps for working with liquids containing large amounts of solids (gravel, sand, and debris). A DNB wastewater pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNB pumps have stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground while providing adequate clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, the DNB comes standard with a 10-meter power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY 80 and B4 PN10.
