The DNB series is used for pumping and draining clear liquids and greywater. The special geometry of the S-Flow impellers enables the pumping of liquids containing suspended solids with short fibers, and they are perfectly suited for wastewater treatment plants.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in the oil chamber, guarantees a long product service life.
Advantages of DNB dirty-water pumps
Dirty water such as rainwater or greywater from showers, washing machines or washbasins, for example (without solid matter and feces), does not require free-passage impellers because it does not contain elements that could block the flow or become wrapped around the impeller. Therefore, much more efficient impellers can be used for pumping it than Vortex or open-channel impellers. DNB dirty-water pumps have been specially designed to provide high efficiency while maintaining a large passage through the S-Flow impeller channels, while using relatively low electric motor power.
Applications of DNB pumps
Highly efficient S-Flow impellers are used in a range of applications, including rainwater pumping stations, light (grey) wastewater, mechanically pretreated wastewater, process water, slurry, leachate, and wastewater treatment plants. DNB electric dirty-water pumps have feet that allow them to stand freely on the ground, as well as a flange for mounting a connection or a DRENO coupling foot attachment of type: A, B or DUTY. The DNB model is available in single- and three-phase versions, with or without a built-in float, depending on the control method preferred by the customer.
Control
The DNA wastewater pump is available in four versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps, except for versions with a built-in float, we recommend the simple M121 (230V) controller, as well as the M131 (400V). For more demanding users and two-pump stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control cabinets in SPP and SPS versions.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNB pumps are often installed on coupling feet in rainwater, pretreated wastewater and process-water pumping stations. When the appropriate hose connection is used (an elbow ending in a plain end), the pump becomes a portable dewatering pump suitable for liquids with a high content of solid matter (gravel, sand, debris). A DNB wastewater pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNB pumps have stable feet protruding from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, the DNB comes standard with a 10-meter power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY 65, and B4 PN10.
