The DNB series is used for pumping and draining clear liquids and greywater. The special geometry of the S-Flow impellers enables the pumping of liquids containing suspended solids with short fibers, making them particularly well suited for wastewater treatment plants.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in the oil chamber, ensures a long product service life.
Advantages of DNB dirty-water pumps
Dirty water such as rainwater or greywater from showers, washing machines, or sinks, for example (without solid particles or fecal matter), does not require impellers with free passages because it does not contain elements that could block the flow or become wrapped around the impeller. Therefore, much more efficient impellers can be used for pumping it than Vortex or open-channel impellers. DNB dirty-water pumps have been specially designed for high efficiency while maintaining a large passage through the S-Flow impeller channels, and at the same time using relatively low-power electric motors.
Applications of DNB pumps
Highly efficient S-Flow impellers are used in a wide range of applications, including pumping stations for rainwater, light (grey) wastewater, mechanically pretreated wastewater, process water, slurry, leachate, and wastewater treatment plants. DNB electric dirty-water pumps have feet that allow them to stand freely on the ground, as well as a flange for mounting a connection or a DRENO coupling-foot attachment of type: A, B or DUTY. The DNB model is available in single-phase and three-phase versions, with or without a built-in float, depending on the customer’s preferred control method.
Control
The DNA wastewater pump is available in four versions, combining single-phase or three-phase power supply with control by a built-in float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps, except for versions with a built-in float, we recommend the simple controllers M121 (230V), as well as M131 (400V). For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor-based power and control panels, the SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNB pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in rainwater, pretreated-wastewater, and process-water pumping stations. When fitted with a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable dewatering pumps for handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, and debris). A DNB wastewater pump can easily be used to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNB pumps have stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, the DNB comes standard with a 10-meter power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY 65, and B4 PN10.
