Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in the oil chamber, ensures a long product service life.
Advantages of DNA-EX pumps
The DNA-EX sewage pump is the ideal solution for those looking for a professional product for use at home or in a small business. The free passage of the DNA-EX sewage pump is the best alternative to pumps with macerators, which often become clogged and expose users to operating difficulties. The large free passage under the impeller for contaminants measuring 45 to 80 mm (depending on the model) ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-vane Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater content perfectly, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in wastewater, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Sewage pumps with such a large free passage under the impeller are free from these disadvantages. The thick impeller walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring holes according to DN50-80 PN10.
When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the discharge pipe diameter or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of a higher-powered pump.
Control
The DNA-EX sewage pump is available in two power supply versions: single-phase and three-phase. Floats are available as separate accessories connected to the dedicated EMX-EX barrier (a relay in the control cabinet). For controlling DNA-EX pumps (except versions with a built-in float), we recommend the simple M121 controllers (230 V); suitable control cabinets that ensure compliance with ATEX requirements may also be used.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA-EX pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, network, and stormwater sewage pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable drainage pumps for handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, and debris). The DNA-EX sewage pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, and pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA-EX pumps have stable feet projecting from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, the DNA also comes standard with a 10-meter power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
