All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, housed in an oil chamber, guarantees long product life.
Advantages of DNA pumps
The DNA wastewater pump is an ideal solution for those looking for a professional product for use at home or in a small business. The free passage of the DNA wastewater pump is the best alternative to pumps with a macerator, which often becomes clogged, exposing the user to operational difficulties. The large free passage beneath the impeller for contaminants measuring from 45 to 80 mm (depending on the model) ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-vane Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents perfectly, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in wastewater, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Wastewater pumps with such a large free passage beneath the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. The connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet with holes according to DN.
When selecting a pump, the parameters of the available pipeline should be checked, as the discharge pipe diameter or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of a higher power rating.
Control
The DNA wastewater pump is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps (except versions with a built-in float), we recommend the simple M121 (230V) controllers, as well as the M131 (400V). For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay-contactor power and control panels: SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in household, municipal, network, and stormwater pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable drainage pumps for handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, waste). The DNA wastewater pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or transfer water from a pond or ditch to another tank. DNA pumps have stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, the DNA is supplied as standard with a 10-metre power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
