The DNA series is designed for pumping biological liquids and wastewater. Its large free passage for solids makes it ideal for treatment plants, public and private sewage systems, and the livestock industry.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in the oil chamber, guarantees a long product lifespan.
Advantages of DNA pumps
The DNA wastewater pump is the ideal solution for anyone looking for a professional product for use at home or in a small business. The free passage of the DNA wastewater pump is the best alternative to pumps with a macerator, which often becomes clogged, causing operating difficulties for the user. The large free passage beneath the impeller, allowing contaminants measuring from 45 to 80 mm to pass through (depending on the model), ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater content perfectly, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades that quickly become blunt in wastewater act like wedges and block the pump. Wastewater pumps with such a large free passage beneath the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. Connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring DN-pattern holes.
When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of greater power.
Control
The DNA wastewater pump is available in four versions, combining single-phase and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float or an external signal. To control the operation of DNA pumps (except versions with a built-in float), we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) controllers, as well as the M131 (400 V). For more demanding users and two-pump lifting stations, we offer professional relay- and contactor-based power and control cabinets: SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, network, and stormwater sewage pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable pumps for drainage and for handling liquids with a high solids content (gravel, sand, and waste). A DNA wastewater pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA pumps have stable feet extending from the pump body, allowing them to stand on level ground while providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, DNA pumps come standard with a 10-meter power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
