The DNA series is used for pumping biological liquids and wastewater. The large free passage for solids makes it ideal for wastewater treatment plants, public and private sewage systems, and the livestock industry.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The double mechanical seal in a back-to-back configuration, located in an oil chamber, guarantees a long product life.
Advantages of DNA pumps
The DNA sewage pump is an ideal solution for people looking for a professional product for use at home or in a small business. The free passage of the DNA sewage pump is the best alternative to pumps with macerating devices, which often become clogged, exposing the user to operating difficulties. The large free passage under the impeller, allowing contaminants from 45 to 80 mm in size to pass through (depending on the model), ensures long-term operation without the need for intervention. Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater content perfectly, whereas macerators act like winding devices. Macerator blades quickly become blunt in wastewater, acting like wedges and blocking the pump. Sewage pumps with such a large free passage under the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The impeller’s thick walls are sufficient for many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater. The connection flanges allow installation with any coupling feet featuring holes according to DN.
When selecting a pump, check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of a higher power rating.
Control
The DNA sewage pump is available in four versions, combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float or an external signal. To control DNA pumps (except versions with a built-in float), we recommend the simple M121 controllers (230V), as well as the M131 (400V). For more demanding users and dual-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor control cabinets, SPP and SPS.
Installation methods
Thanks to the DN flange, DNA pumps are commonly installed on coupling feet in domestic, municipal, network, and stormwater pumping stations. With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), they become portable pumps for drainage and for handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, waste). The DNA sewage pump can be used without difficulty to water a garden with rainwater, drain a flooded garage or basement, or pump water from a pond or ditch into another tank. DNA pumps have stable feet projecting from the pump body, allowing them to stand on a level surface with sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, the DNA also comes standard with a 10-metre power cable. They work perfectly with DRENO coupling feet: DUTY50, DUTY 65, DUTY 80 and B5.
