The vessel body is made of steel coated with an external protective paint that increases corrosion resistance. A replaceable butyl diaphragm, suitable for contact with potable water and resistant to the elevated temperatures of hot water, is fitted inside the steel shell. The diaphragm separates the water from the compressed gas cushion, limiting its contact with the inside of the vessel.
The vessel is supplied with a factory pre-charge pressure of 3.5 bar ±10%, which can be adjusted to suit the specific system. It is compatible with domestic hot water systems with a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar.
