Description
CVI Vertical Pump
As the manufacturer of the IPRO line, we design CVI vertical pumps as multistage centrifugal devices with in-line connections, intended for pumping technically clean and chemically non-aggressive liquids. The series includes models rated from 0.55 to 15 kW, with a head of up to 202 m depending on the hydraulic range.
Who are they for?
- Pressure-boosting system installers – we simplify selection within a single series: from the CVI 3 range with DN25–DN32 connections to the CVI 45 with DN80 connections, without changing the installation principle.
- Maintenance teams – we provide a design suitable for continuous operation in process circuits, with a clearly specified permissible number of starts per hour.
- Installation designers – we specify all operating limits: liquid temperature, pH range, and the permissible pressure in the system and at the inlet.
- Farms and fish farms – we offer devices for irrigation systems with a capacity of up to 920 l/min when supplied with three-phase power.
- Service companies – we provide pumps with a noise level from 53 dB(A), which is important in laundries and car washes with staffed workstations.
Applications
- Pressure-boosting systems and pressure vessels operating with technically clean water before the treatment process.
- Industrial installations: washing and rinsing systems, high-pressure circuits, boiler-room supply, and machine cooling.
- Air-conditioning and refrigeration systems, including glycol and coolant transfer.
- Agriculture: sprinkler systems, irrigation systems, irrigation applications, and fish farms.
- Services: laundries, car washes, and tall buildings.
CVI 400 V vertical pumps with a capacity of up to 920 l/min operate in three-phase-powered facilities.
Features, description, and technical data
As the manufacturer of the IPRO line, we build the CVI series in a vertical, multistage, centrifugal configuration, with the suction and discharge connections positioned horizontally on the same axis (in line). This solution makes it possible to connect the device directly to an existing pipeline without rerouting it, while the vertical operating position limits the space occupied in a pressure-boosting station or process unit.
Our devices are driven by three-phase, two-pole motors supplied with 3~400 V at a frequency of 50 Hz and operating at a speed of 2850 rpm. The motors are manufactured with insulation class F and IP55 protection, for continuous operation. The permissible starting frequency is 100 starts per hour for motors rated up to and including 4 kW, and 20 starts per hour for motors rated from 5.5 kW. The LpA sound pressure level ranges from 53 to 75 dB(A), depending on the motor power.
In terms of hydraulics, the CVI series includes models rated from 0.55 to 15 kW, with a head from 28 to 202 m and a capacity from 74.5 to 920 l/min, or approximately 4.5 to 55.2 m³/h. We select the connections according to the hydraulic range: DN25–DN32 for the CVI 3 and CVI 5 ranges, DN40 for CVI 10, DN50 for CVI 15 and CVI 20, DN65 for CVI 32, and DN80 for CVI 45. The devices pump technically clean liquids, without excessive amounts of mechanical impurities, that are chemically non-aggressive, with a temperature from 10°C to 90°C and a pH of 3 to 9, at an ambient temperature of up to 40°C.
Materials used:
- Motor housing – AISI 304 stainless steel.
- Suction and discharge casing – ASTM 25B cast iron.
- Pump shaft – AISI 420 stainless steel.
- Impellers and diffusers – AISI 304 stainless steel.
- Cartridge mechanical seal for standard versions from +10°C to 90°C – silicon carbide / tungsten carbide / EPDM.
The CVI series belongs to the IPRO line, which we operate as a solution for industrial and process applications. The first number in the designation indicates the hydraulic range corresponding to the nominal flow rate in m³/h, while the second indicates the number of pumping stages. Therefore, when selecting a pump, we always refer to a specific duty point rather than the series name alone. We provide the detailed parameters for each model in the technical data table and catalogue sheet. Under Polish operating conditions, the devices are installed in rooms protected against freezing, while maintaining an ambient temperature of up to 40°C.
CVI vertical pumps are technical devices intended for technically clean liquids and are not water-treatment devices. Their use in drinking-water systems is permitted only when the intended use of the specific model and the required approvals are specified in its technical documentation. The warranty conditions and period are defined in the documentation supplied with the device – if in doubt, please contact Dambat service.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – what are CVI vertical pumps used for?
Where can I buy CVI vertical pumps manufactured by Dambat?
As the manufacturer, we do not sell directly. CVI vertical pumps are available from our sales partners, installation wholesalers, and authorised online distributors.
Does Dambat help with selecting a model from the CVI series?
As the manufacturer of the IPRO line, we provide catalogue sheets, performance curves, and operating instructions, which are used to select a device for the required duty point. The order is fulfilled by the selected sales partner, while we provide technical and service support.
What liquids can CVI vertical pumps handle?
We design the CVI series for technically clean and chemically non-aggressive liquids, with a pH of 3 to 9 and a temperature from 10°C to 90°C. In industrial applications, this also includes the transfer of oil, glycol, and coolant in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
How do CVI pumps differ from the CVI INOX versions?
In the CVI series, the suction and discharge casing is made of ASTM 25B cast iron, while the impellers, diffusers, and motor housing are made of AISI 304 stainless steel. In the CVI INOX series, all parts in contact with water are made entirely of stainless steel, which is the primary structural difference between these versions.
What do the numbers in the model name, such as CVI 5-12, mean?
The first number indicates the hydraulic range corresponding to the nominal flow rate in m³/h, while the second indicates the number of pumping stages, which determines the achievable head. Two models from the same range have similar capacities but different operating pressures.
How should CVI 400 V vertical pumps be installed?
The devices are installed in a vertical position, with the suction and discharge connections arranged horizontally in an in-line configuration, in a room with an ambient temperature not exceeding 40°C and protected against freezing. The three-phase power supply of 3~400 V, 50 Hz, and motor protection must be provided in accordance with the operating instructions.
How many starts per hour are permitted for pumps in the CVI series?
For motors rated up to and including 4 kW, we allow a maximum of 100 starts per hour, while for motors rated from 5.5 kW, the maximum is 20 starts per hour. More frequent cycles shorten the service life of the mechanical seal and motor, so in systems with variable demand we recommend using a suitably selected diaphragm tank or speed control.
