The cutting knife grinds solid contaminants contained in sewage before it is pumped, reducing the risk of clogging the hose or pipeline. The devices operate in a vertical position, with a maximum pumped-liquid temperature of 35°C.
Features of the CTR series
CTR series pumps feature a gray cast iron motor housing and impeller housing. The impeller and cutting knife are made of gray cast iron and AISI 304 stainless steel, while the shaft is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, ensuring that the cutting components retain their sharpness and corrosion resistance even with constant contact with sewage.
The overcurrent circuit breaker installed directly on the power cable cuts off the motor’s power if the cutting knife is blocked by a hard object, protecting the motor against overload independently of the thermal protection in the winding. The float switch automatically controls the pump’s operation and provides basic protection against dry running.
