Explosion-proof design with ATEX certification
The Compatta PRO series with a free passage is designed for pumping municipal and industrial wastewater. Its flexibility and compact dimensions make it particularly suitable for pumping domestic and residential wastewater. Pumps in this series can be used in all potentially explosive atmospheres, in accordance with the certificate available on request.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG20 cast iron. The mechanical and lip seals ensure the product operates correctly.
Advantages of Compatta PRO free-passage pumps
The Compatta PRO series pumps are a more advanced version of the domestic Compatta pumps. This version stands out primarily because it is designed for operation in demanding conditions, including potentially explosive atmospheres. The manufacturer has provided ATEX certification for the pumps, along with the necessary equipment, such as a special cable with a gland and an ATEX control panel (available to order). The PRO version has only one free-passage size beneath the impeller, namely 50 mm, which works successfully with EASY E3.1 and EASY E3.2 coupling feet and discharge pipelines from DN50 upward.
Open six-blade Vortex impellers perform excellently even with fibrous wastewater contents, whereas typical macerators act like winding machines. Macerator blades that quickly become blunt in wastewater act like wedges and block the pump. Wastewater pumps with a free passage beneath the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The impeller’s thick walls ensure many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater.
When selecting a pump, we always check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require a higher power rating.
Control
Compatta PRO is available in various versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float (230V only) or an external signal. For domestic applications, we recommend the simple M121 (230V) or M131 (400V) controllers. For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay- and contactor-based power and control switchboards: SPP and SPS.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection (an elbow terminating in a plain end), we obtain a lightweight portable pump for dewatering and handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, waste). Compatta PRO pumps are used for dewatering mines, transferring process water at wastewater treatment plants, and operating in demanding industrial conditions. Compatta PRO has stable feet extending from the pump body, providing adequate clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, Compatta PRO comes standard with a 10-metre power cable.
