Explosion-proof design with ATEX certification
The Compatta PRO series with free passage is designed for pumping municipal and industrial wastewater. Its flexibility and compact dimensions make it particularly suitable for conveying domestic and residential wastewater. Pumps in this series can be used in all potentially explosive atmospheres, in accordance with the certificate available on request.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG20 cast iron. The mechanical and lip seals ensure proper product operation.
Advantages of Compatta PRO free-passage pumps
The Compatta PRO series pumps are a more advanced version of the domestic Compatta pumps. This version stands out primarily because it is designed to operate in demanding conditions, including potentially explosive atmospheres. The manufacturer has provided ATEX certification for the pumps, along with the necessary equipment, such as a special cable with a cable gland and an ATEX control panel (available to order). The PRO version has only one free-passage size beneath the impeller, namely 50 mm, which works successfully with EASY E3.1 and EASY E3.2 coupling feet and discharge pipelines from DN50 upwards.
Open, six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater content exceptionally well, whereas typical macerators tend to act like winding machines. Macerator blades that quickly become blunt in wastewater act like wedges and block the pump. Wastewater pumps with free passage beneath the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The impeller’s thick walls ensure many years of operation in untreated domestic wastewater.
When selecting a pump, we always check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of a higher-powered pump.
Control
Compatta PRO is available in various versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float (230V only) or an external signal. For domestic applications, we recommend the simple M121 (230V) or M131 (400V) controllers. For more demanding users and two-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control cabinets: SPP and SPS.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection (an elbow ending in a plain end), the pump becomes a lightweight portable unit for drainage and handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, and waste). Compatta PRO pumps are used for drainage in mines, transferring process water at treatment plants, and in demanding industrial conditions. Compatta PRO has sturdy feet extending from the pump body, providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, Compatta PRO comes standard with a 10-meter power cable.
