Centralizer for a deep well pump
The IBO submersible pump centralizer is a rubber element that stabilizes the pump inside the well pipe. Mounted on the discharge pipe, it keeps the pump in the well axis and prevents it from moving during the engine starting torque. Therefore, it also serves as a torque shock absorber, protecting the pump and installation against hitting the well walls.
For whom
-
Installers of deep well pumps – the centralizer keeps the pump in the well axis and limits its movement during startup.
-
Well drillers and drilling companies – protection of the pump and casing pipe against impacts during operation.
-
Owners of deep water wells – smoother operation of the pump without banging against the walls of the well.
-
Service crews – installation on the discharge pipe with the possibility of easy disassembly of the pump.
Application
The centralizer is used in deep wells to stabilize the pump suspended in the casing pipe. It is mounted on the discharge pipe, above the pump, where it is held in a central position. This prevents the pump from moving during the engine starting torque and from hitting the well walls.
The element is useful wherever the pump operates in a deep well and is exposed to movement when starting. The rubber body adapts to the diameter of the well, and steel bands secure it to the pipe. The centralizer for the IBO submersible pump is designed for 1"-1¼" pressure pipes and 4"-8" casing pipes.
Features of the centralizer for a deep well pump
The centralizer is made of durable rubber. Cuts along the length allow you to adjust the shape to the size of the well. Bringing the clamps closer together increases its diameter, which allows the element to be adjusted to the diameter of the casing pipe. The bands are made of stainless steel.
The centralizer is mounted on the discharge pipe and tightened so that it does not move along the system. The upper clamp should be tightened more tightly than the lower one, which facilitates subsequent disassembly of the pump. Fitting to the well should not make it difficult to lower the pump into the well.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) – centralizer for the IBO submersible pump
What is a submersible pump centralizer used for?
The centralizer stabilizes the submersible pump inside the well pipe and keeps it aligned with the wellbore. It prevents the pump from moving during the engine starting torque and from hitting the well walls. This protects the pump and installation against damage.
What pipes is the centralizer suitable for?
The centralizer is designed for systems with a discharge pipe with a diameter of 1" to 1¼" and a casing pipe from 4" to 8". The rubber body adapts to the diameter of the well by adjusting the clamps.
How to install the centralizer?
The centralizer is mounted on the discharge pipe and tightened so that it does not move. The upper clamp tightens more tightly than the lower one, which makes subsequent disassembly of the pump easier. The lower clamp should be 10-20 cm above the pump.
How to adjust the centralizer to the well diameter?
The centralizer is cut longitudinally and its diameter is increased by bringing the clamps closer together. It should be adjusted to the diameter of the well, but not so tight that it makes it difficult to lower the pump into the well.
Where can you buy an IBO centralizer?
As a manufacturer, we do not sell directly. The IBO submersible pump centralizer can be purchased from our trading partners, installation wholesalers and authorized online distributors. The selection depends on the diameter of the discharge and casing pipes.
What is the warranty for the IBO centralizer?
IBO – 24 months (2 years) manufacturer's warranty. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by Dambat. It is best to contact an authorized distributor with questions about selection.
