C.O. series IBO ITALY The manufacturer Dambat includes expansion vessels for heating and solar installations, available in two installation configurations: hanging vessels with capacities of 5, 8, 12, 19 and 24 liters and standing (vertical) vessels with capacities of 36, 50, 80 and 100 liters. This selection of variants allows the device to be properly adapted to both small home installations and complex industrial systems.
The body of the vessel is made of thick carbon steel covered with an external protective varnish to ensure corrosion resistance. Inside the steel jacket there is a replaceable EPDM membrane, characterized by high tensile strength and resistance to continuous temperatures up to 100°C. The membrane completely separates the heating medium from the compressed air bag, preventing internal corrosion of the body.
The series vessels are equipped with a sealed air valve enabling periodic control and replenishment of the initial pressure using a standard compressor. Connection The hydraulic system consists of a replaceable, galvanized flange with a diameter of ¾" or 1", making it easier to connect the vessel to the existing pipe system. The use of a ball valve with a screw connection during installation allows full disassembly of the vessel without emptying the rest of the heating installation.

How to control and regulate the pre-pressure in the vessels?
Pressure is measured and regulated by a sealed air valve (valve) placed on the vessel. Before each measurement, cut off the heating medium supply and reduce the water pressure in the vessel to zero. Pressure is added using a standard compressor. The factory pre-load pressure of the series is 3.5 bar (±10%).
Are the vessels suitable for installations with glycol?
Yes – central heating expansion vessels. IBO ITALY are allowed to work with mixtures of water and ethylene or propylene glycol, provided that the glycol content does not exceed 50%.
