Ball check valves are safety devices that protect pressurized pipelines against unwanted backflow. They are most commonly used on discharge risers in pumping stations for domestic and municipal wastewater and in pumping stations for
rainwater. The design and material selection allow for wide use in installations inside pumping station tanks, on above-ground transmission pipelines, and also underground in both vertical and
and horizontal (while maintaining the correct flow direction).
Features:
• Full-bore flow
• Self-cleaning ball
• Low sealing pressure
• Vertical and horizontal installation
• Quiet operation
• Inspection chamber for cleaning and replacing the ball
Technical data:
- The products meet the requirements of the following standards:
- EN1092-2 PN16 and AS4087, AS4087 (AS2129 Table E),
- ISO 228-1 for BSP threads,
- Category A, ISO5208 standard,
- EN558-1 series 48 (DIN3202 F6).
-
Threaded valve diameter range: from DN25 (1”) up to DN65 (2-1/2”).
- Flanged valve diameter range: DN50 to DN100.
- Maximum operating pressure: 16 bar.
- Minimum back pressure guaranteeing tightness: 0.3 to 0.5 bar.
- Test pressure:
- for the ball seat: 1.1 × nominal pressure,
- – for the body: 1.5 × nominal pressure.
-
Operating temperature range: 10–80°C.
-
The face-to-face length of the valves and the connection sizes of flanges and threads meet the requirements of the standards listed above.
-
The correct direction of liquid flow through the valve is indicated by the arrow on the body.
-
The durable and simple design ensures long-term trouble-free operation.
-
The valve closure (shutter) is a smooth ball covered with a layer of wastewater-resistant EPDM. As the ball freely rotates in its seat, into which it is pushed by the liquid flow, the ball is cleaned of solid particles carried by the medium.
-
The valves have a bolted inspection cover for inspection and convenient cleaning if non-standard wastewater contaminants enter the system.
