The valve closure (flap) consists of a smooth ball covered with a layer of EPDM resistant to wastewater. As the ball moves freely in its seat, into which it is carried by the liquid flow, the ball is cleaned of solid particles carried by the medium.

The valves have a bolted inspection cover for inspection and convenient cleaning if non-standard wastewater solids enter the system.
