The valve closure (flap) consists of a smooth ball covered with a layer of EPDM resistant to sewage. As the ball freely rotates in its seat, into which it is moved by the liquid flow, the ball is cleaned of solid particles carried by the medium.

The valves have a bolt-on inspection cover for inspection and convenient cleaning in the event of non-standard sewage contents entering the system.
