Application
The A 2-pole series is designed for pumping clear liquids and raw sewage. The high-performance open, single-channel impeller makes this type ideal for wastewater treatment plants, industrial sewage systems, agriculture, and drainage applications.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG25 cast iron. Two separate mechanical seals (the motor side in the oil chamber and the impeller side in contact with the liquid), together with high-quality components, ensure excellent performance and product reliability.
Advantages of A2 pumps
A2 series pumps feature an open, single-channel impeller with excellent raw sewage pumping properties and a function for cutting fibrous materials. On the one hand, there is only one channel, which limits the splitting of the flow in the pump’s hydraulic system, preventing fibrous materials from winding around the impeller. On the other hand, long materials are cut by the cutting pair consisting of the impeller and the pump housing plate. At the same time, the impeller efficiency is significantly higher than that of pumps with free passage and Vortex-type impellers.
Installation of A2 pumps
As A2 series pumps are intended for professional applications, in most cases they are installed on DRENO coupling feet of the following types: A, B or DUTY in municipal and industrial pumping stations. For their control, we offer customers advanced control systems with appropriate motor protection and safeguards against pump damage, such as two independent humidity probes in the motor chamber and oil chamber, e.g. CR3.1.
