IBO AQ submersible pumps are a range of devices designed for pumping
clean and slightly contaminated water. They are used in farms,
households, agriculture, industry and anywhere a powerful
a submersible pump for pre-treated wastewater and contaminated water.
Who are IBO AQ pumps for?
-
For household users – for emptying septic tanks and pumping water out of flooded rooms.
-
For installers – for installation in sumps, tanks and drainage systems.
-
For farms – for applications requiring powerful submersible pumps for contaminated liquids.
-
For industry – for operation in technical systems with contaminated water and pre-treated wastewater.
-
For installation contractors – thanks to the wide selection of AQ models with DN50, DN65 and DN80 connections.
Applications of AQ submersible pumps
- Emptying septic tanks and reservoirs.
- Pumping water out of flooded rooms.
- Operation in agriculture and industry with clean and slightly contaminated water.
- Use in rainwater systems after pre-filtration.
- Operation with vertical installation in tanks and cisterns.
The IBO AQ submersible pump is designed to operate while submerged and must not
operate dry. In rainwater systems, the manufacturer requires pre-filtration
and suspending the pump at least 30 cm above the bottom of the tank.
Features, description and basic technical data of the AQ series
The IBO AQ series includes the following models:
AQ 50-750, AQ 50-1100, AQ 50-1500, AQ 50-2200, AQ 65-1500, AQ 65-2200 and AQ 80-2200.
All pumps in this range are equipped with a screw impeller with a cutting disc.
Depending on the pump model, the maximum head ranges from
13,5 m to 23 m and flow rate from
300 l/min to 866.7 l/min. The motor power range in the AQ series
ranges from 750 W to 2200 W.
Power supply depends on the version: single-phase models operate at
230 V / 50 Hz, while selected three-phase models operate at
400 V / 50 Hz. The AQ data sheet also specifies
insulation class F, IPX8 protection rating,
water pH 6.5–8.5 and rotational speed of 2850 RPM.
The maximum medium temperature is 35°C, and the maximum depth
pump immersion is 5 m. The minimum immersion level during operation
must not be less than the pump's height. With less immersion
direct user supervision is required.
AQ pumps are designed for pumping clean and contaminated water,
but contaminants must not be abrasive, such as sand or gravel.
The manufacturer clearly states that the pump is not intended for pumping
corrosive liquids, salt water, flammable substances, oils, and liquids
containing petroleum-derived substances.
The electrical installation should be equipped with a residual-current device
with a tripping current of up to 30 mA, and the pump must not be operated
if the voltage drops below 210 V. Use a rope to raise and lower the pump
a securing rope must be used for the pump – this must not be done using the power cable
or the float cable.
After each use, the pump must be removed from the tank and rinsed with clean water.
During winter or prolonged downtime, all water must be completely removed from the pump
and store it in a frost-free place.
IBO AQ pumps are covered by a 24-month warranty.
The warranty is valid upon presentation of the original proof of purchase and when the product is used
in accordance with the instructions. The manufacturer and warrantor is

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – IBO AQ pumps
What is the warranty on IBO AQ submersible pumps?
IBO AQ pumps are covered by a 24-month warranty. The warranty is valid provided that the original proof of purchase is retained and the pump is used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
What are IBO AQ pumps intended for?
AQ pumps are designed for pumping clean and slightly contaminated water. They are suitable for emptying septic tanks, pumping water out of flooded rooms, and agricultural and industrial applications.
What are the key operating parameters of the AQ series?
Depending on the model, the AQ series offers a head of 13.5 to 23 m, a flow rate of 300 to 866.7 l/min, and motor power of 750 to 2200 W. The pumps operate with medium temperatures of up to 35°C.
What power supply do AQ pumps use?
The AQ series includes models powered by 230 V / 50 Hz and 400 V / 50 Hz. The appropriate version depends on the specific pump model.
Can the AQ pump operate in a rainwater tank?
Yes, but the manufacturer requires pre-filtration of the water and suspending the pump at least 30 cm above the bottom of the tank to reduce the risk of damage from sediment.
What safety features does the AQ series have?
The product data sheet specifies insulation class F and protection rating IPX8. The installation should additionally be equipped with a 30 mA residual-current device.
How should the AQ pump be operated correctly?
The pump must not run dry and should not pump abrasive liquids such as sand or gravel. After use, rinse it with clean water; during prolonged downtime, drain it and store it in a frost-free place.
