The Alpha V PRO-EX series, thanks to its compact size and excellent mechanical properties, is ideal for pumping domestic and municipal wastewater.
The pumps can be used in all hazardous areas, in accordance with certificate CE0477 EPT 17 ATEX 2701 X, Ex II 2G [Ex db IIB T4 Gb, Ex h IIB T4 Gb, 0°≤Ta≤40°, available on request.
Characteristics
All major components are made of GG20 cast iron. The mechanical and lip seals ensure the product operates correctly.
Advantages of Alpha V PRO-EX septic tank pumps with free passage
The Alpha V PRO-EX series pumps are a more advanced version of the household Alpha V pumps. This version is distinguished primarily by its suitability for operation in harsh conditions, including hazardous areas. The manufacturer has provided ATEX certification for the pumps, along with essential equipment such as a special cable with a gland and an ATEX control panel (available to order). The PRO version has only one free-passage size beneath the impeller—50 mm—which works successfully with discharge pipelines from DN50 upward.
Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents excellently, whereas conventional macerators act like winding machines. Macerator blades, which quickly become blunt in wastewater, act like wedges and block the pump. Wastewater pumps with free passage beneath the impeller are free from these disadvantages. The impeller’s thick walls ensure many years of operation in raw domestic and municipal wastewater.
When selecting a septic tank pump, we always check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the discharge pipe diameter or the terrain geometry sometimes requires the use of a higher-power pump.
Control
Alpha V PRO septic tank pumps are available in various versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float (230 V only) or an external signal. For domestic applications, we recommend the simple M121 (230 V) or M131 (400 V) controllers. For more demanding users and two-pump lift stations, we offer professional relay- and contactor-based power and control cabinets, SPP and SPS.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection, this becomes a lightweight portable pump for drainage and handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, and waste). The Alpha V PRO pump is used for drainage in mines, transferring process water at wastewater treatment plants, and in demanding industrial conditions. The Alpha V PRO has stable feet extending from the pump body, providing adequate clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, the Alpha V PRO comes standard with a 10-meter power cable.
