The Alpha V PRO-EX series, thanks to its compact size and excellent mechanical properties, is ideal for pumping domestic sewage.
The pumps can be used in all hazardous zones in accordance with certificate CE0477 EPT 17 ATEX 2701 X, Ex II 2G [Ex db IIB T4 Gb, Ex h IIB T4 Gb, 0°≤Ta≤40°, available on request.
Characteristics
All main components are made of GG20 cast iron. The mechanical and lip seals ensure proper product operation.
Advantages of Alpha V PRO-EX septic tank pumps with free passage
The Alpha V PRO-EX series pumps are a more advanced version of the domestic Alpha V pumps. This version is distinguished primarily by its intended use in harsh conditions, including explosion-hazard zones. The manufacturer has provided ATEX certification for the pumps, as well as essential equipment such as a special cable with a cable gland and an ATEX control panel (available to order). The PRO version has only one free-passage size beneath the impeller, namely 50 mm, which works successfully with discharge pipelines from DN50 upward.
Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous sewage contents exceptionally well, whereas typical macerators act like winding machines. Macerator blades, which quickly become blunt in sewage, act like wedges and block the pump. Sewage pumps with free passage beneath the impeller are free from these disadvantages. The impeller’s thick walls ensure many years of operation in raw domestic sewage.
When selecting a septic tank pump, we always check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry sometimes requires the use of a higher-power pump.
Control
Alpha V PRO septic tank pumps are available in various versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by an integrated float (230V only) or an external signal. For domestic applications, we recommend the simple M121 (230V) or M131 (400V) controllers. For more demanding users and twin-pump pumping stations, we offer professional relay-contactor power and control cabinets, SPP and SPS.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection, it becomes a lightweight portable pump for drainage and for handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, waste). The Alpha V PRO pump is used for drainage in mines, transferring process water at wastewater treatment plants, and in demanding industrial conditions. The Alpha V PRO has stable feet projecting from the pump body, providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, the Alpha V PRO comes standard with a 10-meter power cable.
