Advantages of Alpha V PRO sewage pumps with a free passage
The Alpha V PRO series pumps are a more advanced version of the domestic Alpha V pumps. This version is primarily designed for operation in harsh conditions, including potentially explosive atmospheres. The manufacturer has provided ATEX certification for the pumps, along with essential equipment such as a special cable with a cable gland and an ATEX control panel (available to order). The PRO version has only one free-passage size beneath the impeller, namely 50 mm, which works successfully with discharge pipelines from DN50 and larger.
Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater content perfectly, whereas typical macerators act like winding reels. Macerator blades that quickly become blunt in wastewater act like wedges and block the pump. Wastewater pumps with a free passage beneath the impeller are free from these drawbacks. The impeller's thick walls ensure many years of operation in raw domestic wastewater.
When selecting a sewage pump, we always check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the diameter of the discharge pipe or the terrain geometry sometimes requires the use of a higher-powered pump.
Control
Alpha V PRO sewage pumps are available in various versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float switch (230V only) or an external signal. For domestic applications, we recommend the simple M121 (230V) or M131 (400V) controllers. For more demanding users and two-pump lifting stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control panels, SPP and SPS.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection, the pump becomes a lightweight portable pump for drainage and for handling liquids with a high content of solids (gravel, sand, waste). The Alpha V PRO pump is used for drainage in mines, transferring process water at wastewater treatment plants, and in difficult industrial conditions. The Alpha V PRO has sturdy feet extending from the pump body, providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO wastewater pump, the Alpha V PRO comes standard with a 10-meter power cable.
