Advantages of Alpha V PRO septic tank pumps with free passage
The Alpha V PRO series pumps are a more advanced version of the domestic Alpha V pumps. This version is primarily distinguished by its suitability for operation in harsh conditions, including potentially explosive atmospheres. The manufacturer has provided ATEX certification for the pumps, along with the necessary equipment, such as a special cable with a gland and an ATEX control panel (available to order). The PRO version has only one free-passage size beneath the impeller, namely 50 mm, which works successfully with discharge pipelines from DN50 upwards.
Open six-blade Vortex impellers handle even fibrous wastewater contents perfectly, whereas typical grinders act like winding machines. Grinder blades, which quickly become blunt in wastewater, act like wedges and block the pump. Sewage pumps with a free passage beneath the impeller are free from these disadvantages. The impeller’s thick walls ensure many years of operation in raw domestic and household wastewater.
When selecting a septic tank pump, we always check the parameters of the available pipeline, as the discharge pipe diameter or the terrain geometry may sometimes require the use of a higher power rating.
Control
Alpha V PRO septic tank pumps are available in various versions combining single- and three-phase power supplies with control by a built-in float (230V only) or an external signal. For domestic applications, we recommend the simple M121 (230V) or M131 (400V) controllers. For more demanding users and dual-pump stations, we offer professional relay-and-contactor power and control panels, SPP and SPS.
Possible applications
With a suitable hose connection, it becomes a lightweight portable pump for drainage and for handling liquids with a high solids content (gravel, sand, and waste). The Alpha V PRO pump is used for drainage in mines, transferring process water at treatment plants, and in demanding industrial conditions. The Alpha V PRO has stable feet extending from the pump body, providing sufficient clearance beneath the body for water intake.
Like every DRENO sewage pump, the Alpha V PRO comes standard with a 10-meter power cable.
